Delightful! Our girls had cookies and hot chocolates whilst we sipped a glass of wine. The owners (father/son team) were interesting, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about both the wines and Beechworth. Apparently there are plans to add a fully fledged restaurant to this space, if...so we would definitely come back for a meal.More
Coffee was the best in town and the cakes were DELICIOUS! Homemade by the matriarch of this lovely family business. Easy to find on the main street.
This place is a gem for anyone looking for an introduction to the wines of the area. Centrally positioned in the town, its location is ideal for visitors. We did a wine tasting - and purchased some afterwards due to the quality of the local...wines - but you can also stop for a coffee or cheese platter. Both Lachlan and Peter are warm and welcoming, and Lachlan's knowledge of the wines and winemakers is outstanding. A very special experience, which was refined by Lachlan as we tasted to have regard to our preferences in wine. A must for any visitors to the town.More
My husband and I quickly threw a getaway together between lockdowns and randomly chose Beechworth. We wanted to try wines from the region but without a designated driver. Cellar Door Wine store was exactly what we needed. We sat down at the bar and Tom...talked to us and deciphered our tastes at our attempts at describing what we like and we couldn't have imagined a better afternoon. We found this little gem on our recent trip to Beechworth. The sommelier has a great knowledge of the local wines and his recomendations were spot on. The place has a lovely friendly feel about it really can't rate this place highly enough.
The knowledge and expertise of the owners is excellent. Go there to drink a couple of very well priced glasses of high quality wine (or a coffee), then buy some on the way out.
Fantastic selection of Local and abroad wines. They make a mean coffee as well. Customer service was fantastic and we were well looked after!
We enjoyed tasting some local wines accompanied by the cheese board. A great way to experience the local produce without having to travel too far.

My wife and I love this wine and cheese store and have visited it before. The host, Lachlan, is very knowledgeable and eloquent and has a great knack for describing wines that make them even accessible to a lay person such as myself. The range...of local wines and cheese on offer is astounding. We spent a very pleasant couple of hours there chatting to the locals, to Lachlan and his charming parents whilst nibbling delightful cheese and imbibing delicious wine.
