Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was visiting my friend in Wangaratta and was keen for a quintessential Victorian country experience. Moments and Memories Tea Tooms delivered this in spades! What a delightful place. As soon as you walk in you're immersed in an interior like a traditional English tea...room - beautiful cups and saucers laid on clothes tables and very warm and welcoming staff. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of corn fritters with a huge, fresh salad, garlic bread on the side and dessert was the biggest piece of sponge cake with cream and jam I've ever had - perfectly baked. Tea was served in old style tea pots complete with strainer, milk and sugar on the side. The team rooms are large so there's plenty of room and they sell a lot of tea related merchandise. All in all a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!More

This is old school adult fare. Proper service with a matching menu. Tea and scones for two of us, relaxing by the window watching Beechworth go about its day. Very pleasant. Tripadvisor photos above are very accurate, showing some of the Décor and collectables on...display.More

We have been coming to the tea room for years. It was our favourite destination for a relaxed couples experience on the weekends. The food has and is excellent, but the quality and variety of tea, as well as the amazing scones are the draw...card every time. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and relaxing. It's great to just sit and take a breather, not hurry and remember simpler and frankly better times. Over covid, like many businesses, it suffered. As the owner has mentioned, it was a difficult and stressful time for everyone. Post covid, it is near impossible to get staff. This obviously creates service issues, delays and places enormous pressure and stress on whoever is trying to keep the business running. BUT this is the case for many small businesses. This is normal now. None of this is the fault of the business, owner or staff. Almost ever business now has some sort of notice about delays and staffing issues. Be patient. Enjoy the experience. Slowly savour the tea. A great destination and one we still visit as often as our increasingly busy lives allow. With a little patience and understanding, you will have a great time.More

After arriving in Beechworth Friday 5/6/23, we walked around and looked for a country style breakfast, only pies, sandwiches, toasties, the famous Bakery had no cooked meals, let down, then found this gem, tucked away a little, the owner was warm and welcoming, sat us...down to a lovely old style table, with real cloth napkins, beautiful China laid out, my wife ordered the Pancake, it was the size of the dinner plate, fluffy, 5 cm tall, with maple syrup, cream and home made poached pears, it was cloud like soft, I ordered the big breakfast, though I asked for a few changes the owner was more than happy to oblige, I had roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, the best home made baked beans, and a soup bowl of scrambled eggs, must have been at least six eggs, perfectly made, wont ever go anywhere else in Beechworth, this is not over the top cooking, this is true country cooking with ultra fresh produce, everything from scratch, the decor suits older people, but be assured even the younger generation will appreciate the good food, after the meal we did not have lunch or dinner, we were that satisfied, would give it 10 if it was available, many thanks to the owner, will see you again.More

Lovely tea shop with a nice atmosphere and decor. Pity they can't make tea very well. Each customer is given a pot of tea with the leaves in the water and a strainer. The first cup is nice, but because the leaves are left in...the hot water with no way of taking them out, the second cup is god awful.More
