Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were excited to go get a lovely wrap or sandwich for a picnic lunch. The schnitzel wrap was dry with no mayonnaise, avocado, condiments and the top of the wrap was dry from sitting out for who knows how long. The coleslaw was totally...dry and I had to add my own mayonnaise to help an already boring wrap. Incredibly disappointed. Cakes and other sweet treats on the other hand are very delicious. Work on your quick sandwiches/wraps for delicious takeaways but I won’t be back in a hurry.More

All I can say is, I woke up at 6 a.m. incorrectly assuming that's when the food is freshly made and ready to go. That couldn't be further from the truth. I walked down to the Beechworth Bakery at 6 a.m. looking for a coffee...and a bacon and egg roll. What I received was a bacon and egg sandwich that was far from fresh. It was a dried-up toasty that had been sitting in a Bain Marie overnight, if not longer (confirmed by a staff member when I walked in and asked). Quietly, I asked the young guy behind the counter, "Has this been sitting in a Bain Marie?" He responded with a simple "Yes." I expressed that it tasted horrible, and his response was merely 'OK.' It should have been, "I do apologize. Can I get you another one? Can I make you a fresh one?" But no, just 'OK.' Well, it's not OK. The coffee was OK though.More

This bakery offers a stunning range of sweet and savoury treats. The Bakery also had a range of Christmas Cakes/ Puddings to buy. Great for gifts.

Sure it has some history but now it just sells cheap and nasty mass produced pies like most places these days.

We are sorry to hear you perceived our products as being mass produced but think you’ll be pleased to know that they are all made by hand by our bakers in our bakehouses (and we’re proud of that fact).

Could all the hype and food articles be true? I think so. The country chicken pie was one of the best pies I have ever eaten. Full of chunky pieces of chicken, lovely leek and a very moorish sauce. The hype seems to be warranted.

Friendly service but disappointing food. The almond croissant was dry and stale tasting, sausage roll overcooked and dry too. Beesting apparently tasted like it had been there a while. Coffee was ok.

Horrendous food. Terribly unaccommodating service. Meat pies with next to no meat inside, and no flavor. The industrial tomato sauce brought the flavor… Dry flavorless scones. They clearly don’t care about the quality of the food they serve - the store is going downhill, my...severe but objective comment. I don’t understand why it’s the busiest food place of the street, it’s not worth the reputation.More

We stopped at Bendigo Bakery, 4 steak & mushroom pies no flavour at all. Then 2 pasties completely dry couldn’t eat them, 4 coffees double shot and extra hot waiting 10 minutes for coffee only to get cold coffee not even normal temperature. Left everything...paid top dollar never again. Not staffing fault but bad management.More
