Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although this place looked inviting, the service was horrid - a rather nasty male waiter was so very rude to us and to all the other customers there at that time. It made us feel like we wanted to walk out. When he brought the...food and coffees, he gave each customer another "lashing of his tongue". This behaviour was unwarranted and confronting, as we and all the other customers around us were polite to him when ordering and getting our food. So, best to avoid this place - unless you want to suffer insults from the waiter like we experience. Having just arrived back home and having gone so many lovely friendly eating places, we have decided to warm others about this place. Best to go elsewhere!!More

We were looking for pizza anywhere nearby on school hols and no places were open during the day. I found this little laneway and I was absolutely delighted. I ordered the prosciutto pizza and the Margherita pizza. They were absolutely lovely and it was just...the right size for lunch. The customer service was also very good the guy running the place was very social. Overall an excellent place definitely would visit again.More

Our first experience here recently for lunch and we will be back! Tucked down a small narrow but cosy laneway in the main shopping strip, so quite a unique setting for the Surf Coast. Our host was especially friendly and welcoming and happy to chat....The old photos on the walls were interesting and added to the ambience. Menu is limited but tasty and our coffee was great and hot, as requested. The adjoining bakery looks like a seperate shop but is connected to the cafe and cakes, slices etc can be purchased as part of the meal. Highly recommended.More

The better half and I were driving around Torquay looking for something for lunch but not much open on a Tuesday so then went on to Anglesea. We stopped and had a look at the strip and stopped and had a look at this place....We both ordered pizza. Better half ordered a latte to go with and I had a beer. We saw pizzas come out for other people and thought they weren't too big, good size for lunch. We added olives to the prosciutto. Pizzas were really good, coffee was great, staff were friendly. We would go back no worries. We would try some of the desserts or pastries next time. We didn't this time only because we were full. 9/10More

Cute and small cafe, but big on value and quality of food. Lovely Chai to compliment the pulled pork roll and sweet muffin. The host was very friendly and helpful and I'll be back next time I'm in Anglesea.

We stopped there on our way to MEL Airport to grab a bite. We were in a rush, and the guys there were so kind as to attend to us, assure us we would make it in there in time, rush our food and even...gave us a small token gift on the way out. It was so unexpected and made our day. Plus - the coffee and food are amazing - try the Spanish Eggs! Thank you again for the food and your kindnessMore

It was still dark when we turned up for breakie. The owner took one look at us in our motorcycle gear and said,”Two bacon and egg rolls, and two coffees, right?” He got it in one. Bloody good coffee, and the bacon and egg roll...was good too.More
