We were welcomed like old friends despite being new customers. It was mum's 90th birthday and they made her feel very special. The food was delicious (both vegan and normal) and the service was very quick. Would definitely recommend and plan to return soon.

On a recent road trip through Alexandra Victoria we came across Cafe Alex, a real no fuss,country cafe. We chose from all day breakfast menu and had Egg and Bacon Turkish bread roll. It was served quickly, very fresh and hot. We also had 2 excellent coffee in a decent size mug. Enjoyed the experience and I do recommend. All for less than $30 for 2 people.

Great Cafe for take away breakfast and coffee. The staff are lovely and the service is friendly and quick. It's always been a nice experience when I have popped in to Cafe Alex, and their hot chocolate is fantastic.

Enjoyed the coffee. But another cafe that hasn’t bothered to invest in a sandwich press for toasted sandwiches. As a result, cheese and one paltry sliver of micro-thin ham between two dry pieces of toast. You seriously could not slice the ham any thinner if you tried. I’d prefer to pay a little more and actually taste the ham.

Great coffee. Lovely staff, and out the back is a pretty courtyard complete with a fairy garden, also inside is a beautiful tribute to their Nan made out of recycled takeaway coffee cups- Angel Wings. Deft will come back

I dropped in to this cafe after a business meeting. The coffee was good, and the food, while somewhat limited in terms of selection, was delicious. The prices were very fair, and chips and salad were optional which I appreciated. My only criticism was that I was not offered a menu, and so didn't realise there were alternative options to the food in the cool cabinet.

Friendly staff,helpful & very good service.They have a good menu to choose from & a display cabinet.We went for lunch & both had a beautiful meal.I had the Steak Sandwich with Chips on the side & the Steak was tender & tasty.My husband had the Open Chicken,Bacon,Avocado & more sandwich.Good hot coffee as well.Enjoy.Highly recommend.

Sign outside said pumpkin soup, great I thought a nice late lunch... Inside "kitchen is closed", me OK thinking why is the sign still out? Then luke warm coffee arrived and much loud chatter between the staff,got to the bottom of my coffee,plenty of dregs in the last mouthful.
OK they wanted to close up and did this whilst I was there, noisily .Not a good experience

Stopped here on the way to Mansfield for a quick brekky bite. Ordered a few coffees, a croissant and a brekky wrap which consisted of egg bacon hash brown and sauce. All good. Place has a courtyard at the back to eat if it is not too cold outside.

Lovely cafe with lovely courtyard out the back. Nice selection of food and drinks.
Good friendly service with a smile. Didn't wait long at all. Reasonably priced. No gluten free options is the only issue.
