Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great neighbourhood BYO trattoria. Friendly smiling service from Claude and his lovely team. I've been going to Cafe Nino for 35 years and always love the atmosphere and good quality home cooked food.

Beautiful food, consistently fresh and delicious. Warm service. We have been coming here for many years and will always return. A must try is the mussels, spaghetti vongole & tiramisu.

Yummy authentic Italian food. It’s BYO with a fantastic bottle shop next door. Jean Claude and Claire are amazing, so welcoming and friendly. An old favourite for many reasons.

3rd time to Ninos so knew what to expect. Previous occasions were very good I must admit. Tried to find some positives from last night. Started with a salad that was average (akin to pre chopped Woolies bag) and soaked in a cheap tasting balsamic...vinegar. Steak knives were both caked in previous patrons food. Ordered the eye fillet steaks, they were ok for $54. mash and veg were good. At no point did anyone check in on us or our meal. Unlikely to return.More

All round great experience. Nice decor, service is polite and attentive, and the food is absolutely magnificent. Best garlic bread I've ever tasted and they have quality pasta to match

Read the reviews. Tried it ourselves. Wow. THE best John Dory I’ve eaten. My partner had the fettuccini scampi... magnificent. Can’t believe I waited this long to try a restaurant I’ve been driving past for so many years. Certainly going to book in regularly. My...new favourite.More

I always eat here whenever I’m in Sydney. It’s a unique little restaurant the runs a tight ship serving incredible Italian dishes. The menu is exciting and good consistently good. It’s always busy, but the service is excellent and attentive. It has a nice feel...to the place, very homely. I recommend booking a table in the front room. It is BYO which is great (there’s a great wine cellar next door), but they also licensed. The meals are very generous in size; you won’t leave hungry. Meals are well priced and not exorbitant. I always order the Marinara with spaghetti on white sauce. My favourite. My sister always gets the seafood mornay. Your biggest hurdle will be what to order!! Whet you can’t finish they allow you to take home In a takeaway container. Be sure to take home if you can’t fit it in after finger, the tiramisu. I’m not a tiramisu fan, but this dessert is very special and made by the family who run the place. This is a great place for family, friends, groups (with seating to suit larger groups at the back of the restaurant) and couples. Do yourself a favour and try this great gem, you won’t regret it!!!More

Went to Cafe Nino last night and was a victim of its popularity. The service was good to start off with but lagged as the restaurant filled up.Waiting 2 hours for the main course & some confusion with our order did not help. The food was good...& atmosphere convivial but it was just too busy for the chefs to keep up.More

Popped in to Nino's for an unplanned dinner without a reservation. Seated immediately and had a great meal with good, friendly service. We were still chatting at 11pm when everyone else had gone. There was not pressure for us to leave-quite the opposite. Great hospitality...and the food was genuine, fresh and reasonably priced.More

Went to this amazing restaurant which we have always loved. Took, fifteen minutes to take order. In hindsight that was the best Part? Garlic bread for two came after 15 minutes. 30 minutes later entree. 30 minutes later after asking when main was coming we’re given...platitudes about how busy they were, Finally main came and then I asked for tomato sauce which never came, waitress then came and gave us two glasses of wine and said she was sorry about bad service. This may all sound like a winger but for a restaurant that has such great food and is pricey this is unacceptable. Sadly for us who live five minutes away we will have to find somewhere else to dine out. Shame on you Nina’s. ThisMore
