Absolutely amazing Italian experience, just off Oxford St, it’s clear this is a local favourite we stumbled upon. Perfect in every way 😊

I was with a party of 8. My friend and I arrived first and it took a little while for us to order a drink, but after that the service was excellent. They knew who was drinking what, who ordered what and kept topping our...glass up as needed. However the food let it down, as did the price! I had the ravioli special as a starter. It was OK, but nothing out of the box. For main, I had the slow cooked pork shoulder. It was dry and bland. The best part was the cabbage. My friends ordered desserts, and they were uninspiring. Then the shock of the bill! All my friends agreed that the food let it down and was overpriced for what it is. Wine is well overpriced! We also agreed the restaurant was very noisy!More
As soon as you walk in you just know it's going to be special and it didn't disappoint. Fabulous food, great wine selection (very rare these days to have your wine decanted) and friendly staff. Joe and Tony were very welcoming. looking forward to a...return visit when next in SydneyMore
Thanks to Joe and Tony for a great night. Your staff and food selection is always spot on ! Ballard Property team
We ate at this restaurant last night with friends who had been there before. This is a BYO restaurant so we bought our own wine. When the bill came there was a $90 corkage charge (3x$30) which we queried with the owner. The owner got...very agitated and rude and told us that since we had not ordered from his expensive wine list he was entitled to charge us $30 per bottle. My wife had brought along a $20 of SSB and the owner told her that if she wanted to drink $20 bottles of wine we should go the the local pizzeria. After a fair bit of argument he said he would waive the $90 and when we told him we would never come back he then said he would add the $90 back on! In the end the $90 was waived but the attitude and arrogance of the owner was amazing. I eat out approx 40-60 times per year at Sydney and Melbourne's best restaurants and this is my worst dining experience in the last 5 years. We will never return to this place. It is overpriced, the food is average and the attitude is appalling. I can comfortably say that I have had much better crumbed calamari and gnocchi from my local pizzeria.More

Cipri is the favorite of many of our friends - we keep returning for perfect Italian selections...traditional with a touch of modern. Three brothers share the duties from kitchen to the pleasant dining room. A good menu supplemented by specials each time we visit. Undoubtedly...in the top tier Italian restaurants in Sydney. This is a near to perfect Italian dining experience. Couples, families or business - we've enjoyed many occasions here. Dinner and lunch on Fridays. Price range? Middle good value!More
Took some guests to Cipri's recently and left it to mine Host - Joe to look after our Entrees.... The Entrees came out thick and fast - one better than the other - showcasing Chef Carmelo's latest offerings ...We then ordered our own Mains -...Steaks, Fish and Pasta which were all on point! Great Zaccagnini wine from Abbruzzi followed by a selection of different desserts and great coffee. Highly recommended - Italian at its best!!!More
I was stunned by the poor customer service at the restaurant. They would not take any criticism of their dishes. The food was average also. I have eaten better pasta in other Italian restaurants. On top of that, it was pricey. I would go elsewhere...for a better experience.More
This restaurant is an absolute standout. With the ambiance of a good Trattoria, it is family run and friendly. The food is excellent and varied. One of the few restaurants where you can get tripe and well cooked. There treatment of pasta is wonderful, and...of course they do great pizza. I’m very fond of this restaurant.More
We went here for Valentine's Day dinner while travelling in Australia. We certainly understand that Valentine's Day is a busy one for all restaurants and we also understood the need for a set menu. But that doesn't mean that staff need to be running around...and making the entire evening feel rushed! Not the way we had planned to spend a romantic Valentine's Day. Also - when mass producing a set menu - I guess the attention to detail and taste gets diluted. Our food was bland and we were surprised to find that the salad was salty. Disappointing evening for sure considering the reviews we had seen that made us select this location.More
This is nice little Italian restaurant hidden down a side street in Paddington. It offers the usual range of Italian including various entrees which we shared as a big group. Some were better than others and the arancini were overly fried and not very good....There is a range of pasta dishes (which looked good), and mains including fish of the day. Plus plenty of side dishes on offer. The fish special of the day was good. Overall we found it a little noisy and over priced.More
I have dined here on many occasions over the past 10 years and the food & service is always reliably very good. I live locally and dine out 4 times a week and it is hard to beat Cipri. Wine list is comprehensive and food...is superb. It is my and my lady's favourite restaurant.More
My partner and I visited Cipri for dinner on the weekend. The food was nice, HOWEVER I was fairly disappointed by the end of our evening. There was one waiter who upon realising we didn’t feel like dessert and instead asked for the bill, became...very icy, as though we had wasted their evening by dining there and only having entrees and mains. I felt this was extremely distasteful service, considering he had been overly friendly up until this point. We also ordered the aranchini which was underwhelming, but upon getting the bill we realised that they had given us 2 servings (which we hadn’t realised previously as the menu didn’t specify how many per serve, and we hadn’t asked for initially as we’d ordered another entree as well). They also offered to put our gnocchi on 2 separate plates and we’d said we were sharing both our mains, which we thought was very kind but then they CHARGED us an extra $8 on the bill just for ‘spare plate surcharge’. I was extremely unimpressed as I would have been happy to share from the one plate knowing this and this was nowhere specified on the menu, nor by our waiter. Very immoral. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant considering you could receive much better service someplace else, and will save yourself ridiculous hidden surcharges.More
Old world Italian decadence. Beautiful food and flavoursome. Professional staff . I had a birthday dinner here and it was very special . Will definitely return
