Beautiful geographical location. Lovely old style building very poorly utilized/laid out. Rude incompetent staff. poor menu even poorer food. Expensive for simple food. Disgraceful way to manage any pub/eatery in 2016.

Three of us shared meals listening to the 3 piece rocking band. Good selection of beers on tap. Ploughmans lunch and fish and chips - meals were fine. Great beer garden with chooks and a peacock roaming around- a nice way to relax.

Great outdoor areas, as it is a small pub. Great aussie tucker. Service can be a little slow when busy, as the bar is very small. Great photo opportunities.

Often come here for a Motorbike ride. Great ambiance of yesteryear with many old artefacts and a building to match. Even got a few old Indian motor bikes at the front. Good menu is varied with something for everyone but I have always felt it...More

We drove an hour and 40 mins to get there. Firstly the food is WAY to expensive! The bartenders were rude in every aspect whether it be ordering drinks or food or asking about the food itself! Not welcoming, I felt like they were just...More

There were 10 of us for lunch and although the food was average to good, the steep prices were a little off-putting. The setting is rustic and enjoyable.

Description
Established in 1836, the Settlers Arm Inn is built from convict - hewn sandstone. Surrounded by mountains, it nestles alongside the Macdonald River within the tiny village of St. Albans, the heart of the Macdonald Valley, New South Wales. Of Georgian simplicity, the hotel became a stopover for Cobb and Co. stagecoaches traveling between Sydney and Newcastle in the nineteenth century. These days the inn is an alternative gateway to the Hunter Valley wine districts for visitors from the Central Coast as well as Sydney and its environs. Travelling time to St. Albans is approximately 1.5 hours by car from these areas. The Settlers Arms Inn is not only popular with day trippers but provides Accommodation comprising four doubles, all with en-suite. Australian Country - style cuisine is available seven day a week. Outdoor activities may involve tennis at the courts across the way, swimming and relaxing in our 12 metre saltwater pool, bike riding, golf at Wisemans Ferry, or just ambling along a country road. Entertainment is provided on Sundays in the rear garden with a jazz band, in the non-Summer months. Open fireplaces add warmth and atmosphere to dining and imbibing in the cooler months.
