Just visited this pub with hubby and my 18 month old for a meal as I was working in the area. We pre booked a table and when we arrived I said politely 'I have a table booked at 6.30' to which the rude man...More

The Settlers Arms is a beautiful historic building, 25 minutes scenic drive from Webbs Creek ferry at Wisemans Ferry. The building is charming and old but there is no excuse for the poor state of repair and presentation of the building. It is obvious that...More

Such a pretty drive and a beautiful sight to see the old settlers arms inn. Had lunch, sat outside at the picnic tables which could have done with a clean, they were covered in cobwebs, also an awful smell kept wafting up from where it...More

After reading all the reviews I was keenly awaiting my experience at the Settlers Arms and it more than lived up to its name. Surly, terrible service where you were lucky to get the drink you asked for, service where we were told things weren't...More

I honestly don't know why people bother leaving the city if all they're going to do is whine & moan about unsealed roads & having to wait for bloody awesome food! So enough of my rant & down to business...until recently we had family just...More

I have to agree with the other reviewers about being ignored and the general rudeness of this place. We had booked a room which was quaint but looked like it needed a good clean. It is a real pity that the owners choose to be...More

Established in 1836, the Settlers Arm Inn is built from convict - hewn sandstone. Surrounded by mountains, it nestles alongside the Macdonald River within the tiny village of St. Albans, the heart of the Macdonald Valley, New South Wales. Of Georgian simplicity, the hotel became a stopover for Cobb and Co. stagecoaches traveling between Sydney and Newcastle in the nineteenth century. These days the inn is an alternative gateway to the Hunter Valley wine districts for visitors from the Central Coast as well as Sydney and its environs. Travelling time to St. Albans is approximately 1.5 hours by car from these areas. The Settlers Arms Inn is not only popular with day trippers but provides Accommodation comprising four doubles, all with en-suite. Australian Country - style cuisine is available seven day a week. Outdoor activities may involve tennis at the courts across the way, swimming and relaxing in our 12 metre saltwater pool, bike riding, golf at Wisemans Ferry, or just ambling along a country road. Entertainment is provided on Sundays in the rear garden with a jazz band, in the non-Summer months. Open fireplaces add warmth and atmosphere to dining and imbibing in the cooler months.
