I wanted to shout out I love this place, and I do but I don't either. Every time I go, the service is SO BAD to start, I waited 20 mins to order, the guy just left me standing there to light a fire. Finally...More

Quaint, rustic and extremely pretty as the leaves turn golden. Such a nice destination for a days outing. We thought 'wow' should come and stay overnight such a lovely old building. Had high expectations. Went there recently with our Car Club and advised owners accordingly...More

I ride my bike here with friends. Great place to take international guests. Toilets mostly clean. Bar service eccentric to say the least. Lunch on Sundays starts at 11.30 not 12 like suggested by bar staff. They have live entertainment but after 2pm they charge...More

We had high hopes of the historic settlers Arms Inn, which looked lovely on the outside. We ordered at the bar and weren't given so much as a smile. The service is unfriendly and grumpy- almost as if you are an inconvenience to them. After...More

Established in 1836, the Settlers Arm Inn is built from convict - hewn sandstone. Surrounded by mountains, it nestles alongside the Macdonald River within the tiny village of St. Albans, the heart of the Macdonald Valley, New South Wales. Of Georgian simplicity, the hotel became a stopover for Cobb and Co. stagecoaches traveling between Sydney and Newcastle in the nineteenth century. These days the inn is an alternative gateway to the Hunter Valley wine districts for visitors from the Central Coast as well as Sydney and its environs. Travelling time to St. Albans is approximately 1.5 hours by car from these areas. The Settlers Arms Inn is not only popular with day trippers but provides Accommodation comprising four doubles, all with en-suite. Australian Country - style cuisine is available seven day a week. Outdoor activities may involve tennis at the courts across the way, swimming and relaxing in our 12 metre saltwater pool, bike riding, golf at Wisemans Ferry, or just ambling along a country road. Entertainment is provided on Sundays in the rear garden with a jazz band, in the non-Summer months. Open fireplaces add warmth and atmosphere to dining and imbibing in the cooler months.
