Wanting something to eat and drink in a picturesque setting then this place has got most of the qualities you are looking for except that the food is average and the service poor. You need to go to the bar to order both food and drinks. During happy hour they had one person serving and another showed up half an... More

Visited here at Christmas with friends and had a great evening. Restaurant was very busy and were even out of some choices even though it was still early. It's quite pricey but you are paying for one of the best spots. Menu is solid and I had the tasting platter which I really enjoyed. Where we were sitting we got... More

The location and vibe of this place is what I loved the most. Plenty of seating inside and outside, both with great views. The beer is great but the food is expensive for what you're getting. I don't mind paying a little extra for food if it's quality but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The ordering system... More

The Bavarian is right next to the ferry wharf so is very quiet during the day but gets very busy on evenings and weekends. Their drink list and menu is broad and pleasant. Big drinkers can enjoy a photo op with a stein of beer. All in all a pleasant stop off

Very nice location right on the wharf. Spent Good Friday here for lunch with another family. Alcohol prices are high ($23 for a litre stein). Ordering system at the bar for drinks and food is very poor. Each time we ordered food or drinks we faced a 15min line up. Big confusion with orders as well with one meal we... More

We found the wait staff to be friendly and knowledgeable.,The food was average, but the setting and beer made up for it.

Spent a day on the beach then on the way back to the Ferry we decided to eat in Manley rather than wait until Sydney. It is on the right side of the wharf as you walk up to the Ferry. It is hopping! the food portions are very big and the house made pretzel are excellent. We tried the... More

Ate here in middle of summer and expected a lot more. It's very busy and the seating is a real dogs breakfast! Not too expensive but not cheap either! Service was excellent.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks on Saturday afternoon. Place was quite busy. We did not eat, but the quality and quantity of the meals looked good. Had the beer paddle sampler. Although the menu said I could select beers, this was not available due to a strong beer promo. Otherwise, a great location and atmosphere.

Well, whatever you do, make sure you're hungry. My wife and I decided to go for a sharing platter so we could try a few different things. What was delivered was a mountain of food. Now I have a pretty big appetite but this could have fed 4 people. Anyway, this isn't really a complaint. The food was lovely, I... More
