This would have to be the worst restaurant in all of Australia! The food is absolutely disgusting and almost inedible! The seafood is frozen and not fresh and the prices are a huge rip off!

We were tourists in Manly so I guess we did what tourist do, have lunch at the local tourist trap restaurant. Watervue is located along the main pedestrian walkway (The Corso) to Manly Beach. With outdoor seating on a nice sunny day, it was too hard to resist. Food and service was average. The cost per person for lunch with... More

The first time I ate here I had the vegetarian breakfast, converted me to wilted spinach, delicious, I ate here again and the chef must have changed as not as good and went down hill from here. This place seems to have ceased trading.

Food was basic, but ok. Vegetarian pasta the highlight of 4 meals - so I guess that doesn't say a lot about the fish then. Wait staff ok. The owner/manager....weel read the title.

ordered oysters for starters. After about 10 minutes told they had none. Then the mains came, completely mixed up the order. Finally got a surf and turf. The 'surf' was two stale dodgy prawns, the steak tough, no steak knives. Service poor, we had to ask for a second round of drinks, waitress just staring into space, not busy but... More

Watervue is located on The Corso, closer to the beach than the ferry wharf. It is very low key and casual. As we had just arrived at Manly for the day, we decided to have some breakfast, and the restaurants facing the beach we very expensive, so we walked back on the Corso, and sat outside as it was a... Oh dear.....wish I'd checked trip advisor first! Silly me. Food was only just ok, my bruschetta was undressed and I needed a steak knife to cut the bread. My partners drink was MIA until asked for a second time. Oh well, sitting outside enjoying a wine almost makes me forgive but I won't be back.

We ate lunch at this restaurant on the weekend. Food is good although it seemed to come out too quickly. The whole place is in need of major works. The carpet inside is discusting and extremely worn out. Toilets were dark and dirty and upstairs. Even the menus were sticky and you could not read half of it properly. Staff... More

Food is ok and resonantly priced but i would recommend you go to the New Brighton hotel next to it instead for better food and beer on the verandah.

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
