We dined as a group of friends for lunch at Le Bouchon. We had booked an outside table and even though the temperature was little warm the plastic canopy was able to be opened and a very pleasant breeze was available. The service was very...good, with much humour. We were warmly welcomed for trying our newly, and basic, French and given amusing but very useful feedback. The meals were great. Escargot in garlic for entrée was lovely. I had a steak fillet "a pointe" which was delicious as was the "Ille Fontant" desert. My friends all spoke well of their meals and we had a lovely lunch. Will return. Merci!More

We came here because of Trip Advisor. The food was good but not special. Didn't really enjoy the wine, there was no bread offered (in a French restaurant) and the rest was average. Nice atmosphere and staff so will return to try again....

Le bouchon is consistently good. I went last Friday for dinner. It is a little bit of France in Sydney. Excellent French wines and the liver is the best. French waiters so the service is professional and attentive. We can’t go to France but we...can go to Le Bouchon!More

My onion soup was excellent; thick and rich in flavour. My wife's main of pan roasted sirloin was cooked just as she liked it and was tender and tasty. It was a dish for two but as I didn't fancy beef that night they kindly...prepared a single portion for her at half the price. My duck main was not that great. I've been forever spoilt by the exceptional roast duck served by chef Robert at the Kaiser Stub'n in Terrey Hills and no roast duck served anywhere is has ever measured up to this. Somehow cooks elsewhere are unable to produce a duck with the moistness, flavour, freshness and crispy skin like Robert but I still live in hope. The French fries side were crisp and thin and tasty. My wife's light meringue dessert was exceptional. My selection of ice cream and sorbet was as you'd expect, as this isn't the most challenging or varies of desserts. The wide variety of cocktails, beers, wines (including by the glass), aperitifs, digestives, dessert wines and dessert cocktails and other specialty liqueurs was impressive and comparable in price to what you'd pay in similar places. The staff were polite, helpful, attentive and cheerful. Overall an expensive night out but better overall experience for the price compared to others in the same range.More

As there were ten of us including children a breakfast seemed more appropriate for a quiet birthday celebration. Choices were good including crepes and coffee and drinks were fine. Staff were friendly and looked after us well. A nice start to the day

Never had a bad experience there. The food is amazing and really affordable considering the high quality of the meals. The beef wagu was one of the best I've had in my entire life. Service is great and all waiters are really genuine and personable....Cannot wait to return.More

This was one of the best French meals I have had in a long time. The food was not only delicious but authentic. We all enjoyed what we ordered and between us we covered a fair amount of the menu so there are many dishes...worth trying. For me I thought their escargots was one of the best I have had as it was presented out of the shell which was a nice change. The sautéed calves liver was beautifully tender and their Ile flotante desert was the best I have had since I lived in France. The staff were very busy but that didn't stop them delivering excellent service. What a hidden delight! I can't believe I have walked past the place several times unaware of what I had missed. I shall be back for some of their lunchtime treats. One observation for anyone looking to try this place out - next time we will be asking for a table at the back of the restaurant as we were by the bar and close to the kitchen which meant it was a little nosier than we would have liked, but that's a leaning for next time and hopefully useful tip for you.More

We booked for La Bastille day, the set menu. However we are pescatarians so asked kindly to provide something else besides the yummy duck I so much used to enjoy from there. They gave us a yummy sole cooked deliciously. Their wines are always great...and the service is friendly and warm.More
