A very basic restaurant but The food was excellent. What a lovely experience having visited Japan in April. The presentation of food was great, we ejoyed everything they served.

Found ourselves in Brighton at lunch time and chose this place based on a Google search. We both had miso soups, and edamame beans, and bento boxes. All very tasty and reasonably priced.

I have been coming here for years & honestly cannot fault this restaurant. The waitresses are attentive and happy to accommodate any special requests you may have - weekends can get busy so best to book ahead. Suntory Japanese beer on tap, house made Sake,...fresh Sashimi, Tuna, Salmon, Yellow Tail - some of the best and freshest fish I've had in Sydney. The menu is wide ranging from Sushi to Udon, all of the highest quality. The specials board is updated regularly depending on what's in season, generally 8-12 options available, keeps it interesting and recent. Prices are fair and two people can easily have a feast with drinks for $60-80. The decor is simple and the ambiance homey, you can see the chefs preparing your meal at the back of the restaurant. A place I cannot fault and would not change, I have lived in Brighton for 17 years and am grateful to have such a great place to visit with my partner, friends and family. This is a hidden gem. If you look at it from the road it looks like nothing has been done to the building for 30 odd years. BUT looks can be deceiving! Ok it is bit basic inside but that is not why you should...come here - it is for the food. Not for a romantic evening or lunch. The lunch menu is good and they have blackboard specials. The full menu for dinner reveals a gastronomic delight. For example tempura prawns to start - tick. Kingfish caparchio TICK - absolutely fab. Never eaten anything like it - in a good way. For mains any manner of sushi and sashimi. All fresh all top class and it is the best value for money I have been to. Full stop. Take your own wine - there is a bottle shop accross the road and corkage was $2 - cant argue with that! If you desire excellent sushi and sashimi with increadably fresh ingrediants this is place to come to. Went to Sydney to see my son for Friday and Saturday night. No option as far as he was concerned for dad to take him there both nights! I would book. This is my go to restaurant in Syndney and that is saying someone. If I ever have a chance to choose my last meal this is it. It is THAT good!More

We love going to Luck Sushi, is the nicest sushi restaurant we have been for a while. Our toddler loves the food too and they always very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended

Particular highlights were the mixed tempura which had light batter and great mix of vegetarian and seafood. We also had Nigiri which came with generous amounts of kingfish and snapper. The agadashi eggplant is another go to dish. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

Loved the different types of sushi and you have your own ipad on each table to select any special orders. Great staff and plates all $3.50! Will definitely come back
