Being locals, we have been coming here for years, either Dining in, or picking up and eating at home. We especially love the lamb bunny chow and the variety of South African condiments (aromat, biltong etc). It has a lovely atmosphere and is run by such a sweet lady. Definitely worth a visit! :)

The food here is traditional homemade food. We had the bunny chow and chicken curry. It reminds me of the food a friends mum used to make growing up. If you could cook like this at home, then it would taste the same. I cant cook like this, so i come here. You can also buy frozen samosa's and other... More

I've visited a few times now and the food is amazing. The lamb briyani is my favourite, the bunny chow is worth a try if you have never had it before. Be prepared to wait though- it is a family run joint. But the wait is well worth it!

South African restaurant and deli. Family run and spontaneous. Limited seats. Nice, familiar family food. Worth a try

I had been looking forward to eating here as I am originally from Durban and have been craving a good lamb curry bunny chow. I finally made it there this weekend and was disappointed. The curry sauce and bread of the bunny chow was good but the lamb itself was very dry. I also had the potato samosa which were... More

Décor is pretty ordinary and hasn't changed over the past 12 years or so that the Restaurant has been opened. The food is quite delicious though the service and food presentation is quite basic. But the dining experience is still quite pleasant. The samosas are very tasty as are the chili bites. The lamb and chicken mains are quite good... More

Someone in another review wrote "great place for BYO on a rainy night" and I think that's perfect for this place. Very laid back service, all the food is excellent (tried several dishes so far), and the atmosphere is the definition of "relaxed". Don't expect to get hurried through your mains here, just relax and enjoy going into a food... More

Expensive and disappointed. This was not authentic South African food. Grew up in South Africa for more than 20 years. The phuthu was white and mushy, and tasteless. The bunny chow consisted of cheap cuts. The crab curry was good. Customer service was very slow and the restaurant was not full. There was constant traffic into the restaurant as it... More
