Friday Night- Cannot fault it!

First time trying - Didn’t know it’s No.1 on here, but was truly impressed by the service and food quality. Waiters were all very pleasant, experienced & attentive with the right amount of friendliness. There’s mutual respect & good collaboration between them. Even though it was a very busy night, the food arrived on time & was cooked Beautifully. Environment is quite classy but still has a warm relaxed vibe with comfortable seats. Really impressed by the extensive wine & beverage list featuring Italian beer & Italian soft drinks that I have never seen in any other Italian restaurants in Sydney. A true Italian restaurant doing its heritage proud. My only hope is that it’ll be quieter but considering it’s a Friday night with a restaurant of this caliber I think it’s asking for too much ;)

A Special Family Lunch

Our group of seven decided to celebrate a special Birthday Lunch at Trevi in early June 2020. We had been to Trevi Lakeside before and always enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. On arrival the staff ensured we were comfortably seated and assisted us with our orders when needed. The Barramundi served with vegetables was very popular with our group and was my choice too as it is always of the highest standard. This is a quality restaurant and if you want a special Lunch or Dinner out you will not go wrong if you choose Trevi Lakeside.

Best Restaurant in the Hills District!

First time at this restaurant and couldn't be more impressed! Before the day of seating, emailed them and got an instant reply. For a posh restaurant BYO available is great plus!! We were celebrating a birthday and wanted our own bottle of wine. Service staff so polite and so prompt! Service cannot be faulted at all! The food came out very quickly and the plating was very pleasing and attractive. We had the 500g King Ribeye. Boy, that was a whooper and cooked to perfection! The dishes come with accompaniments and good serving portions. The appetizer of scallop/Belly pork was perfect. The salt/pepper squid just yummy. Our mains of king ribs and seafood hotpot were just outstanding!! This restaurant is exceptional as the month before we went to the restaurant below, which was a hatted chef. Trevi is far superior in terms of service and food! You can tell the standard of the chef by the steak he cooks!!

Another visit, another review.

Lunched there yesterday and took up the option of the $20 main course lunch, comes with a glass of wine or a beer. Ordered the char grilled grass fed scotch fillet, hand cut wedges, salad, rosemary demi-jus. Unfortunately my piece of steak was very scrappy with too much fat and gristle, but cooked med-rare as I requested. The hand cut chips were massive, but not cooked through. Green salad just passable. All in all a disappointment on past experiences. My wife had the linguine prawns, and whilst very tasty, the dill cream sauce was too thick and gluggy. But I'll go back because I know they can do better than this.

Very disappointing for a restaurant rated no. 1

We visited on a busy Saturday night, the restaurant was full, and we were escorted to a table facing a wall, in a corner, with no view or atmosphere at all. Service was slow and poor and I noticed some tables got preferential treatment, maybe because they were regulars ? Food is average to say the least and expensive for what it is. Trying to attract attention to get our bill was so difficult. At least 4 waiters pretended they couldn't see me, it was quite comical actually. No friendly welcome on arrival, maybe they feel as though they don't have to try, as they are busy and rated no.1 ? Wont be returning, but maybe they don't mind. It appears that way. Others restaurants in the same precinct are far better.

Had a meal here last night. We all decided to take advantage of the Midweek special, but I think we should have stuck with the a la carte. The food was OK, but considering the speed with which it was delivered, and the temperature, I think it was pre-cooked and kept under heat lights for a while until it was ordered. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Worst (degustation) meal

We just dined there tonight- trying the Degustation Menu. The place is very noisy on a Friday night, and ambience not great. But we’re here for the food... First course was some deep fried mystery ball, that felt prepared before hand in some cafeteria. 2nd course was crab and mango dish, that came with 2 slices of canned peaches. Not much taste to it. We had deep fried zucchini flower with some flavorless tart, followed by plain pork belly which was bit dry- although crackling was good. Barramundi dish was average at best, followed by over-cooked steak. Last but not least, was the desert of pancake soaked in a soup of syrup, half melted ice cream. It was such a mess. When I was paying, he did asked how the meal was, and I told him honestly. He even mentioned that he noticed that about the desert, but obviously did nothing. All in, it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in a long time. Nothing felt freshly cooked. And for the price charged, what a rip off. Will not be back. I don’t know why the place was so crowded. Maybe the normal menu is better.

Staff friendly and clean

There was 25 of us we all enjoyed a lunch special lovely out look,food was different and lovely on the plate. You could have a choice of 1 course 2 courses or 3 courses which included wine beer or soft drink. The only thing we didn't like was they don't split the bill which was a bit of a trouble with so many people.

Wonderful food Entertaining Service

We just enjoy a great dining experience at one of our favourite local restaurants in the hills - Trevi Lakeside. Soon arrival we were seated outside overlooking the lake and the occasional duck paddling by - on a warm summer night this was most welcome, as was the ice cold glass of water that went down a treat. Entrees of Zucchini flowers and calamari were yummy but it was the seafood mains that were the highlight. They were a seafood hotpot (which had the most amazing tomato based sauce) and the fish of the day in a white sauce. We was washed down this feast with a couple of Italian beers and a few whites wines. Great way the put an exclamation mark on a tough week and great place to unwind and step into the weekend.

A spontaneous night out

We’ve been to Trevi Lakeside twice now, on both occasions we have had an amazing experience. The food is some of the Best I’ve ever had, it’s fresh and so tasty. The staff blow me away, with how they treat every single customer. Your treated like the only people there. I will keep coming back.

Great experience until we paid, we all left feeling cheated

12 friends had an amazing lunch and service only to be told loudly and very rudely with other diners around that 2 of our group had not paid and our money was $70.00 short. Actually some paid extra adding a tip so how was it possible we were exactly $70.00 short. Our waiter took all the cash away saying he would fix it all up and then coming back exclaiming the shortage of exactly $70.00 How is that possible ??? We are a group that live in a retirement village and dine out together every month for more than 5 years. There is NO Way 2 of our group failed to pay as they claimed.

Good Value Spot

Attracted to its location by the lake when we googled, it was its food and service that won the day for us. Portions were sizeable. Our party of 4 ordered 2 set lunches and 2 mains, and that was more than enough to fill us up. The set menu at $47 for 3 courses plus a drink (wine/beer/soft drink) was great value. We enjoyed the so tender twice cooked pork belly with soba noodles, and the duck l’orange especially. Dessert of tiramisu and brownie with peanut butter gelato exceeded our expectations. Chiara took down our order perfectly and Francesco was hugely entertaining when we ordered coffee. Made for a totally enjoyable lunch outing and our guests from Beecroft said they would definitely return now that they have been introduced to the place. The only thing we will change would be to ask for a table inside to dine in airconditioned comfort.

Mother's Day Set Menu

An outstanding three course meal. I highly recommend the pumpkin ravioli and oven roasted barramundi. The service was highly efficient and friendly. So glad my family chose this restaurant for Mother's Day.

We often have lunch here with friends as the restaurant itself if lovely with either indoor or outdoor seating. The food has been without a doubt always top, generally the service is good but there is one waiter who could 'extend' himself and not too much trouble to offer assistance. The one factor we object to is that they charge a "cakeage" if you bring in a birthday cake. Once I asked for a plate just to put the cake on, instead brought out plates, which were unaware that we would be charged and used them whereas we really didn't need them. At the end there was a $36 extra charge! We have been to Il Lago and no charge there! So beware!
