We were a table of seven for lunch. The venue is an old house set back from the main road in busy, trendy Balmain. Decor is pretty standard with no particular style; seemingly unrelated pictures on the walls made them appear as finds from bric-a-brac shops or cast offs from various owners. The wait staff are very attentive about the... More

We enjoyed one of the "Shared Feasts" at $55 per head. It was a great way to eat with a group of people as the food kept coming in nicely presented and sized portions. The lamb was particularly lovely as were the jumbo prawns.

We arrived for a Sunday lunch. We knew the cottage was not fine dining, but more a relaxed atmosphere with a contemporary menu, which was perfect for us! The restaurant is really cute and cosy and our server was very attentive. However, the food was pretty basic. We had the oysters (which were great) and shared the cured beetroot salmon... More

We came on a Saturday night when we were looking for a local casual feed. We always walk past this restaurant during the week and it generally looks busy, so we were curious to try it. But we left disappointed. The good parts: The fairy lights and the garden area out the front are sweet and true to the restaurant's... More

We've been back here a few times and had the pleasure of spending sunny afternoons in the courtyard listening to great musicians. Cocktails are of a high quality and always so many to choose from. The prawns and arancini are our favourite share plates. Highly recommend.

Arancini was quite tasty however arrived lukewarm well before our drinks showed up. Charcuterie sounded great but was lack luster. The pizza was tough, with what felt like rubbery, cheap cheese. The staff seemed to all be backpackers more interested in chatting among themselves than waiting tables. It started to rain and customers attempted to raise the venue's umbrellas while... More

Walking along Darling st we decided to try this restaurant for Friday dinner. The menu looked very varied and the outdoor seating in the garden was really nice. We chose a table outside close to the front. It felt cozy and quite intimate. The restaurant is a converted old house, and the garden is decorated with lights. Service was friendly... More

Dined here a few times now and have been very impressed with the consistency of product and service. Always a pleasure to dine here. Highly recommend the banquet menus for small groups. They represent great value and are a well thought out selection of share plates.

Awesome local with a great wine and cocktail list. Seating in the garden and inside, great place for dinner or just for drinks.
