We did not stay in the hotel, just ate Sunday lunch. One's choices in Machynlleth out of season on a Sunday are certainly limited, but we were here for a family gathering and famished; I chose this hotel because I used to visit Machynlleth regularly...More

Sadly, not long after your visit, The Wynnstay was closed by the previous owners. We took over in late march and re-opened. We have give the place a massive clean and are working hard to really provide the sort of offering `The Wynnstay deserves. We...More

The excellent chef, Gareth Johns, now also owns/runs the hotel which is old but comfortable - I've stayed here a few times and the food is always great - the cooked breakfast, with all local ingredients, is outstanding

We drop in here fairly regularly for the great value lunch - £11.95 for two courses or £14.95 for three. Alternatively, one can order from the bar menu, limited but interesting choices and always a sign, I think, that the food is actually being cooked...More

I like a thin pizza, but this was rediculous. I can only presume that it was to balance the topping, that again was very thin. Its a gas fired oven, so it wasnt a smoky taste, it was burnt, Perhaps I am spoiled by the...More

Sadly your comments are too accurate. The Wynnstay closed at the end of 2015 but we took over and re-opned in late March 2016. There is a wood fire in the pizzeria and our aim is to be again, what the pizzeria was adjudged before...More

Simple but done well. Delicious freshly made pizza, friendly attentive service. We went on a Saturday night without booking and luckily got a table. However it was fairly busy and lots of tables were reserved. Nice little place, tucked away under the archway. Would definitely...More

The food here has always had a good reputation locally. Whether it is a celebration dinner, market day set lunch or a tasty bar snack they always produce an exciting plateful of food. Everything is really fresh and sourced locally where possible. There are several...More

Recently had Sunday lunch here with 2 companions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We all ate different meals but all agreed this was one of the best lunches we'd had in ages. For the price (£10.95 for 1 course, £13.95 for 2, £16.95 for 3...More

A lovely unexpected find in Machynlleth. A little confusing at first as there are two restaurant sections but once we had found the pizzeria we weren't disappointed. Lovely pizza, great flavour and good service. Thanks!

Visited with 4 children and my parents, Tuesday night. First Time we'd been...advised to book even though pub was quiet. Restaurant was busy on arrival, got busier as night progressed. Understood why when food delivered, beautiful bruschetta to start, pizza hand made in front on...More

Only been to the Wynnstay Pizzaria & the pizza was delicious! Waiting staff were friendly but could do with concentrating a little bit more.

Hello, Sorry for the late reply. Yes, we are dog-friendly, which means that doors can eat with their owners, so long as they are not too wet and smelly or disturb others. You may meet Jasper, our terrier, when you come.
