From the photos and reviews we read, we arrived with high hopes and were not disappointed. A tastefully and recently restored Inn with a fine selection of drinks and very enjoyable food in a comfortable dining room. The breakfast was particularly good. Bedroom was stunning, with gorgeous floorboards, a massive smart TV and a generous and well appointed bathroom. All... More

My partner and I live in Newtown so we decided to give The Nags Head a try as we had read such good recent reviews. We booked our table for 2pm and were impressed that we could reserve two roast beef dinners; the young woman on the phone was polite and very helpful. We arrived just before 2 and were... More

I went here with my family this Sunday and came back incredibly full and content with our lunch and service. Even though it was very busy there that day, it was lovely to see that it was filled with families like ours, we were not left behind. I had the mushroom to start followed by the roasted chicken dinner which... More

I'll keep this brief. I like The Nags Head. The cheese board is fantastic, the menu is enjoyable (especially the steak) and the desserts are to die for. They have a great selection of light snacks, a large variety of whiskeys and comfortable seating areas inside and out. Also, beef dripping chips? Fantastic. However, going there in the summer months... More

Had a Sunday roast here and it was great. But even better than the roast was the pudding. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

So pleased that this Pub Restaurant is now in the hands of a chef who knows what he's doing. We had another very good meal here last night and the service was great too. Keep it up.
