Generally a big fan of the Georges but this visit just not on form. Overcooked steak with no table check to comment. Will be back, have no fear, but hope it is back to best next time.More

Don't visit often but once again we had a lovely meal. If you fancy something a little different this is the place. Good food, good & quick service at a reasonable price.

Very friendly staff offering excellent service and food. The sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection. Fantastic deserts rounded off a great lunch. Even found a replacement Dowsing pendulum in the shop.

I will never visit this place again as We were made to feel unwanted, treated like we a problm. Certain staff quite rude and made to feel a burden when asking about certain products as if was trying to pull a fast one when items...More

The food at the Georges is exceptional. Just recently I sampled a piece of lemon cake with a superb cup of coffee. The sponge was wonderfully moist and the lemon cream was delightful. The atmosphere is always congenial and professional. It is also my first...More

This is an excellent slightly alternative cafe/restaurant and whacky shop, selling new age and fairtrade goods from around the world.

Decided to hide from the horrible weather by treating myself to a coffee and cake in the Georges window seat. Beautiful atmosphere, well worth a friendly visit!

We dropped in for a morning coffee and eats. Very impressed by friendly service and the extraordinary quirky shop on the premises. A warm welcome for our dog too with a sausage treat!

Great food in a friendly place that is surprisingly large when you start to look around. Located adjacent to a holistic centre with pretty gardens in back. We had a variety of dishes from seafood to salad, and everyone went away very happy. But get...More

The George's (Est 1989) is a Local Independent Restaurant and Shop serving freshly prepared food with locally sourced ingredients. The ambience is unique and relaxed and we serve food all day. There is a delightful walled garden to the rear with plenty of sheltered seating and stunning views over the Town, Castle and surrounding countryside.
