Was looking for some simple hot food on a Friday night. Mistakenly thought fish and chips would fit the bill. Not so. The breaded plaice was cooked fresh and hot but the chips were cool and chewy and the cod was cold and tasteless. Should have sent it back but too polite and hungry. Staff busy joking to themsleves on... More

Bought 'fish and chip special' with my husband. Small portions. My fish was very dry and the batter well done, very crunchy where the fish was dry (both ends). The chips were ok as was the mushy peas. Option to eat inside, small amount of tables and chairs.

A welcomed treat after a day's walking. Service was efficient, a good selection of food, well cooked and staff were friendly.

We have had fish and chips here twice this week as my usually very fussy daughter has decided this is the best fish ever! So freshly cooked and I think a chip shop that has a queue out the door is a very good sign!

Pretty dismal fish and chips. Soggy batter, sad pale chips, elderly mushy peas with a skin on. Seaside fish and chips should be better than this.

We ate inside at a wobbly table and even Marks singing didn't put us off our meal which was just how fish and chips should be. His very attractive assistant also made our visit one to remember. The locals were present which goes to show how much they regard not only the food and drink but Marc's singing!
