Went to the Three pigeons after a few years for lunnch on Easter Sunday. Very plesently surprised, the staff were very welcoming and although quite busy the food was served without delay and was very good. We will, i am sure return in the summer when we can sit outside with the wonderful views of the Vale of Clwyd. Many... More

We spent Easter weekend in the area and this was our closest pub, a 20 minute walk or the minute drive away. The service was very friendly straight away and we ended up eating here 3 times. The food was very good and over the weekend there were three different menus with meals for every taste including the vegetarian in... More

We decided to visit the Pigeons having heard that the former Chef had returned. It was supposed to be a flying visit for a quick tea. The food was excellent, honest and plentiful. Service was very attentive but not in your face as you sometimes get at restaurants. The real ale selection was very impressive as was the wine selection.... More

The pub had been recommended to us, and when friends were about to visit we tested it one afternoon for lunch. It wasn't the Ritz but both service and food were good. Therefore, we booked a table for dinner at a later date and were rather disappointed. Once again the service was fine but this time the food was average... More

Enjoyed a lovely roast meal today and a fab yummy stickey toffee pudding. All the staff friendly and attentive. Great views overlooking the Vale of Clwyd. Will recommend to friends and family and will visit again.

one of my parents favourite places so I decided to treat them to see what the fuss was about (and a 1 day early mothers day outing) and I wasn't let down. on arrival at the car park, there was a stunning view of the sun setting over the hills. Received a warm welcome and shown quickly to our table.... More

Visited on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was full so we were seated in the bar, glad we were too. The bar area was traditionally decorated, with a lovely open fire and a great social atmosphere. There was a cider and beer festival on, so we had a good choice of local brews. The meals were huge and tasty.... More

Called in while visiting Ruthin. We received a very warm welcome and even got chatting with a local couple. We made our choices for dinner while sat at the bar, before being shown through to the restaurant area. Our choices for our main course were very good, with large portions. We both chose Elton Mess for our dessert and were... More

Lovely family evening meal in a great pub. Staff very friendly and courteous. Good choice of food with usual choices but also specials. Good size portions leaving no room for dessert! Does get busy so advised to phone and book which we did. Good large car park. Bar, games room and restaurant area. Very traditional and would recommend.
