The food tasted like it was the cheapest quality they could buy served in small portions. Terrible value for money. Staff were just doing their job, no interaction or friendliness. Last visit for us.

Myself and my husband went to Four Crosses for a meal as we had been there before and always enjoyed the food, however, things have gone downhill. I ordered the lasagne, the cheese sauce was from a packet and it smelt like feet, it wasn't browned at all on the top and was covered in gloop, it was not nice... More

Decided on eating here for our anniversary meal, both ordered the sizzlers and a pint of carling each. When the food arrived in a gust of sizzling smoke we both thought "yum, here we go"! Having actually tasted the sizzler, it was very burnt, the food was sticking to the metal plate despite there being a sauce plastered on. They... More

This is the 2nd time we had visited the Four Crosses, the 1st time being approx 12 months ago. Both times we have had excellent service from friendly staff and the food has been very good on both occasions. On this occasion we arrived at 4.45pm, we had ordered and were eating before 5.15pm. The food and pricing is very... More

Been here a few times over the years, our latest visit being last Sunday for lunch, and we were disappointed that our meal was not homemade. It is a large welcoming pub, with nice friendly staff and a range of beer and wines. I had the beef dinner, altough plenty of beef you could tell that it had been brought... More

We've been here a few times now. I always have the gammon and my wife and kids normally have the chicken sizzlers. Food is good, big portions and tasty! Ice cream sundaes nice too. Not gone to 5 stars as floor and table not as clean as would have liked.

Good pub grub at fair prices. Choice of real ales (mostly Robinsons). Went on Saturday at 3.00pm (the pub was busy even at 3.00). Tried to book for Sunday but no luck (booked up). Went again on Monday before setting off for home (215 miles away). I must assume that the poor reviews were expecting haute cuisine rather the good... More
