A friend and I only popped in for hot chocolate but it was well worth the visit - a relaxing atmosphere in a centre location. The staff were very friendly and, had I not already arranged to eat elsewhere, I would definitively have given it a go.

We popped here for lunch and sat outside in the sunshine with a lovely view of the castle. Our waitress was very smiley and helpful and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Finding a dog friendly tea-rooms was just amazing. The pooch was welcomed and it was lovely that we could eat as a family without having to brave the biting October wind outside. Service was very friendly, prices were reasonable and the food was delicious - particularly the Welsh rarebit. What a great little find!

Myself and my partner visited here in October 2016. The service was spot on. We were shown to a seat with plenty of room and our order was taken in good time. We both opted for the freshly homemade coffee cake and had a pot of tea to wash it down with. The staff were friendly and it was reasonably... More

Unsure what to eat, we wandered the high street. The hustle and bustle outside Spinning Wheel indicated it was a good place and indeed it was! The welsh cake selection on a plate was simply delightful and would satisfy those who aren't overly keen on super-sweet afternoon teas. Quaint, hospitable staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Visited as a family of seven including a two year old. Waitress (who I think was the manageress) came over to take our order and was very abrupt. The drinks came first and one of the party did not get their coffee, the waitress admitted her error as she had not wrote down on her pad! The food then came,... More

We popped into the tearooms for a coffee before visiting the nearby castle. We entered the cafe and waited to be served by waitresses who were chatting to their friends. Not a good start. We ordered our coffee eventually.. Our Americano's then appeared in tall scratched glasses and the coffee was so weak that when the milk was added it... More

The red and white spotted table covers help to make the cafe area look bright and welcoming. It seemed a good idea to drop in after a super visit to the castle next door. Our drinks were average, The toasted teacakes were thin and had almost been by- passed by dried fruit. It was when we visited the WC facilities... More

I have been in these tea rooms many tims in my life. Through perhaps 50/60 years and I have always had good food ,good service and a very nice welcome from whoever has been the owner. I would recommend this place to anyone.

What can I say other than its time to update! Antiquated tea rooms with grubby surroundings and appalling wc facilities! Luke warm coffee and dry cake and certainly not cheap. Don't bother!
