steak was good, gammon was a good size. food was hot. choc fudge cake was very nice. online menu had more choice than what was available on table menu. (so disappointed our choices were not available) disappointed with only one peice of garlic bread. staff...polite but service a bit slow.More

Excellent food served efficiently with plenty of choice. Efficient Welsh speaking staff. Ambience could improve with possibly lighting/candles on unused tables instead of chairs! ( because of Covid ).

What can I say just cancelled 2 hours before the booking, said they were fully booked and too busy to contact me earlier as I hadn't left a phone number, which I had.

the other day I went to the ship aground to meet up with my friend for a burger and a pint, on oh jolly, the presentation and the portion size was out of this world, and my pint of carling was so cold and refreshing,...if you are reading this and uncertain weather or not to go, then your missing out. - ArthurMore

We recently stayed at Talsarnau in North Wales. My brother and I decided to try out the local pub 'Ship Aground'. We found the locals friendly and helpful so we decided to book a table for Sunday lunch. Our dog was allowed in the bar...where we ate an excellent roast dinner. There is also a restaurant but understandably dogs are not allowed in there.More

Popped in for a family meal after visiting Harlech. Front of house were very accommodating and gave our two kiddywinks colouring sheets and felt tips. They couldn't do enough. Food was great only reason that I wouldn't give 5* is because me and my father...in-law ordered the special pepperoni and meatball pizza and were disappointed with the base not being a freshly made dough, it was biscuity and had the air of a frozen shop bought pizza base. Although the topping was great, make the pizza dough and you will have cracked it.More
