We recently stayed at Talsarnau in North Wales. My brother and I decided to try out the local pub 'Ship Aground'. We found the locals friendly and helpful so we decided to book a table for Sunday lunch. Our dog was allowed in the bar...where we ate an excellent roast dinner. There is also a restaurant but understandably dogs are not allowed in there.More

Popped in for a family meal after visiting Harlech. Front of house were very accommodating and gave our two kiddywinks colouring sheets and felt tips. They couldn't do enough. Food was great only reason that I wouldn't give 5* is because me and my father...in-law ordered the special pepperoni and meatball pizza and were disappointed with the base not being a freshly made dough, it was biscuity and had the air of a frozen shop bought pizza base. Although the topping was great, make the pizza dough and you will have cracked it.More

Had to evening meals in this pub .the food was excellent and the staff are great .vegetarian options available and a good selection of wines and beers to wash it down .if I visit the area again I will eat here again .

In Wales on a holiday for a week, found Ships Aground almost by accident, great food, really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, really recommend.

Paid a visit here to grab a couple of drinks and a bite to eat, whilst staying at barcdy camp site. Lovely local feel with friendly locals. Great staff and great service. Really liked this pub 😊
