This place is great for those who enjoy the Motel atmosphere. Rooms were very well serviced and provided with all the essentials. A very comfortable stay. We used the train (station is 5 mins walk) to go into Porthmadog and we could also have alighted...at a station close to Portmeirion. Ship Aground (local pub) is 2 mins flat walk along main street. We would stay again if in that area.More

Although the restaurant is no longer open the accomodation and breakfast is truely top notch.A lovely place to stay,a beach just a few miles drive away and also ideally located for touring round Snowdonia. The "motel" is based on the American style where you can park...outside your room. The rooms are well furnished with fridge as an added bonus. The owners are very friendly and cook up a fantastic breakfast.Across the road is a pub called The Ship Aground where you can get a decent dinner. Will be staying there again without a doubt.More

The chef here has moved away to start up afresh and therefore the Estuary Lodge is no longer open as a restaurant.

Staying in a b and b a couple of miles down the road, it was so good to find this little restaurant open on a Sunday evening. We enjoyed very good food at very reasonable prices. The staff were welcoming & friendly

I actually found this surprisingly place to stay as well as having a little restaurant on site was a bonus. We didn't check in until 2.00 which was great as we were traveling from Degewny Conway to Harlech. We were welcomed by Daniel and his...dog. It was lovely to have a cuddle each time we moved into the reception area. Cost of stay £90 DBB and we are staying for 2 nights. On site there are other choices of cost of stay. I telephoned and made my booking and it was a better option. Always good to talk to someone in person. The Estuary accommodation reminded me of a motel complex that we stayed in New Zealand but also The Bates Hotel. We stayed in no 3 which was a nice surprise. The bedroom was spacious. There was a TV as well as extensive range of DVD's from reception tomwatch in a rainy day!!!! We had a small table & chairs inside & outside. There was enough space in chest drawers and wardrobe which had a safe. There is a small area for you to make a drink. In fact there was a microwave along with a Costa Coffee machine. Complimentary tea & coffee is a bonus. There is a small fridge to stock essentials. There is a shower room which has a stool for those who need assistance. All toiletries were also included. An extra bonus is that everyone was so friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. We were told about local interests. We are having an early breakfast so we can get in the road to Snowdon Mountain Railway. Train Tickets purchased online and we need to be there half hour before train leaves.More

Visited Harlech over Easter and booked the table before travelling. Had a great meal and our host was very entertaining! Used a voucher provided by the Crown Lodge and enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chardonnay with compliments.......book and try it for yourself!

Booked online one night before, reply received next morning accepting booking for 3 people. Place easy to find on the High St. Eating room is like a large lounge, with maybe, too dim lighting. Good service, all evening. Draught beer & Peroni no lager advertised but...available. Had Snowdonia lager, and Spitfire beer. Fish & chips was baked fish not battered, chips were ok, mushy peas warm. Tasty but not a substantial meal. Vegetarian pizza, size is 9", thin crust, good but not mind blowing. Welsh burger, served between what appeared thick slices of bread(not sure of technical name), ok, maybe a little dry, with small salad on plate. One dessert, Eton mess, acceptable, but nothing outstanding and maybe spoilt by too much fruit syrup poured over it. If in the area, may visit again.More

We called for an evening meal and the menu had so many good item on we came back again the day after. The food is of stunning quality and reasonably priced too. Between us we had 4 meals and staters/sweets over the 2 days and...and all were faultless. Seek this place out if you're in the area and you won't be disappointedMore

My mother is pretty immobile and needed somewhere to stay when visiting us as we have a lot of stairs. Her and her husband were also travelling with their pet dog. Estuary Lodge put them in a fully accessible room, and allowed the dog to...stay with them. The room was really comfortable and the owners went out of their way to ensure she had everything she need and warm enough.More
