I love the Eagle and Child and have been walking up Prestatyn Mountain, where it is located, since we were kids. The old bars are lovely and the gardens are gorgeous with the most stunning views. But unfortunately the restaurant does not invite you to eat and when you do, like we did recently, it was a major disappointment. The... More

Meal was fantastic!!!!. Plenty on plate too. Well worth the money. Only downside was we waited quite some time for all courses, though they WERE very busy. Could have done with more staff. But, was worth waiting for!!!

This is a lovely pub, helpful, cheery staff, a good menu of well prepared, well presented and well cooked food. We have been several times as a couple but also as a mixed family group and have never been disappointed. There is loads of space inside (which is good as it does get busy) and a pretty, well kept garden... More

Found this lovely country pub by accident whilst walking nearby Offas Dyke. Stopped for a beer and sandwich and sat outside in the afternoon sun. Usual beers/cider/lager available. Only one local draft beer available - but a decent pint! Good choice of sandwiches and a couple of hot snacks.

What a hidden gem wonderful staff wonderful food wonderful surroundings. We were met by sue and shown to a table given time to decide and chat . Sue gave us a bit of a history and geography lesson no less than 3 different ways back to our caravan . Then the food came it was to die for and plenty... More

My parents lived in Prestatyn for 30 years but have not been back for the past 25years. I decided to take mum down 'memory lane' for a couple of days and we decided to go to this restaurant for our first meal. It was well worth the trip despite the shock of driving up the extremely steep hill to Gwaenysgor.... More

We booked here for Sunday lunch and sat on the beer garden because we had our dog. I cannot think of a nicer pub garden I have seen. Lovely flowers, topiary etc. Service was friendly and Sunday lunch was tasty and reasonably priced. Would visit here again.
