We decided to have a day trip in Northern Wales to visit a few places on our 'to do' list. After failing to find a suitable eatery in nearby Barmouth- a lot of places were not open!- we decided to move on to Harlech. We were starting to think the same thing might happen here, but we came across this... More

Inside the restaurant was a bit dark but we were told when a place became available on terrace/conservatory where the outlook was stunning . We chose a warm roast lamb sandwich with superb chips and side salad ....it was fresh, very tasty and served efficiently from friendly staff . The more substantial meals from the specials board served to fellow... More

We stopped here for a cream tea after visiting the castle and then a long walk along the beach! Absolutely breathtaking views of the coastline and the castle when you sit out on the terrace. A yummy fruit scone, oodles of cream and jam! Just what we needed after the walk back up the hill! Very friendly staff and dogs... More

Outstanding views from the terrace, weather permitting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is excellent and well presented. Love to take afternoon tea in the warmer weather looking out to sea, or inside the veranda in the cooler weather.

Walk through the restaurant to enjoy the fabulous terrace. From here the view of the castle, golf course and beach is lovely. Had the daily special lunch - roast beef and onion sandwich on white bloomer for £6.95. Friendly and attentive service - will be back for a cafetière and cake for £2.95 Great value with a great view!

I visit The Plas everytime I visit Harlech, which is about 4-5 times a year. My favourite pastime here is to have an afternoon cream tea, with fresh baked scone, jam and cream, looking over the views of Harlech beach. Beautiful.

We have been here many times when we visit the area and keep returning. The view outside is amazing and never fails to impress. The reason for our visit was to celebrate my 50th birthday lunch with my family. There was a big group of us, including 2 small children and my dog. We were all catered for well. The... More

I visited yesterday (Wednesday) but, inexplicably, it was closed! I have visited it previously and found it good.

The Plas Restaurant is situated on the High Street of the Historic coastal town of Harlech. It's frontage gives few hints as to what lies beyond. An elegant Restaurant and a relaxing, comfortale Conservatory, with lawns to it's front taking full advantage of the most spectacular views of Royal St. David's Golf Course and across the bay to the Llyn Peninsular. From the conservatory and terrace there are wonderfully close views of Harlech Castle, once the home of Owain Glyndwr.
