Visited on a Sunday night. Great choice of food and large portions. Big selection of beers and spirits. Very cosy, very friendly staff and customers. Short happy walk back to Dolgam campsite. My new favourite campsite and pub in Snowdonia

Visited three times in a week with my family (wife plus two teenagers) after some long walks. Very friendly staff serving excellent local ales (Purple Moose Madog ale is one of the nicest I've tasted) plus wholesome pub grub. We booked a table and this was ready each time with our name on. Will return next year for sure.

Stayed at St. Curig's Church for 3 nights over New Years weekend with 15 others. Went on a couple of local walks so stopped off here for a group refresh. Stayed for 1/2 hours on both visits, and both front rooms had enough space for our large group. No food was being served on both occasions we were there, we... More

Very disappointing visit. We used to come here as a family many years ago so we decided to treck out into Snowdonia with visitors to cosy up by the fire with a nice lunch. Sadly the food was below par. Three of us had soup which was made with what tasted like chunks of processed ham. The £10 pizza was... More

Was recommended by my B&B in Betwsycoed to come here for tea, as while you have your dinner you can do your laundry for a small cost. There is an industrial washing machine and dryer right next to the bar and restaurant. Had a delicious meal of baked parsnip and sweet potato with salad whilst my travel clothes got the... More

Sadly, whilst the pub capitalises on the amazing surroundings and stunning shape of the Snowdonia National Park - not enough time has been spent on perfecting their rather stunningly poor service. After being told we could not at least place our food order before 6, we waited for 1 hour and eventually got the order in. The food arrived quickly... More

A great place to use as a base for climing Mt Saibod - large carpark - friendly bar staff - great food - great accommodation. You have it all here - privately owned by locals who know how to look after their guests. A great place any time of the year with plenty of free car parking.

Was her last Saturday evening about 8pm. A few tables to spare, ordered food, I had the welsh lamb cutlets. Lovely, hubby had burger which he enjoyed too. Lovely atmosphere with walkers and climbers alike, very relaxed feel and enjoyed it very much.
