Good southern cooking like my grandmother used to make! I tried the fried chicken and waffles that they are apparently famous for, and I was not disappointed! I had turnip greens for my side, and they they were as good or better than any I have ever eaten. One of my wife's sides was the black eyed peas, she also... More

I asked the staff if they would move back to Wisconsin with me so that I could have fried chicken this good anytime I wanted it! It was melt in your mouth, I've never had such good fried chicken! They said that they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, and this was one restaurant that really was as good... More

Great place for chicken and waffles! Perfectly prepared and seasoned. We were confused after reading all of the TripAdvisor reviews which place to try while visiting Memphis. This was excellent and did not disappoint- great location on Beale street as well. Highly recommend!

If you don't want to smell like a frying pan don't go here. Breakfast was very disappointing. I usually trust tripadvisor reviews but not this time. Wouldn't recommend it 😣

We chose this place as our first place to eat in USA. Hubby found the flavourings too hot but the coleslaw divine. I had waffles and chicken with lovely beans which seemed odd but tasted lovely all cooked in the clearly visible open kitchen and served by efficient and friendly staff. Copious amounts of iced tea served with it.

We had breakfast here everyday for 6 days in a row. We drove about 15 minutes to get here everyday but it was well worth it. A relatively small place in the heart of Beale st that serves great food.

Chicken & Waffles was less than average no flavor, spice, taste or anything else appealing ....just ugh! Bacon Beale Burger was juicy/greasy and delicious; the bacon was cooked to perfection. The French fries were institutional no flavor but cooked to perfection and nothing a little salt and pepper won't help. Overall I think this food is seasoned with diabetics in... More

If you can't get enough of Memphis's delicious soul food. Wake up and head to Miss Polly's because their fried chicken and waffles is going to make you bet happy. They also had a large range of egg dishes. Try and get their early if you want biscuits because they ran out and we got there around 10am.

Strolled down Beale Street and found a "down home diner" where we had brunch. Tables with bar stools, diner counter and open kitchen, this was the real thing. Diners varied from locals, visitors and regulars. Service was the best we had in our many eating establishments we visited during our week long stay. My partner had the pot roast which... More

Planned to have lunch at Polly's with my husband and 2 teens. My husband opened the door to go inside. An employee literally put her hand on his chest to keep him from coming inside any further and said "We have a wait" and nudged him out the door. Seriously? Unbelievable. So, we walked down the street and ate elsewhere.
