Just a couple blocks walk from Beale Street you can find a seafood restaurant with prices that make Beale Street blush with shame. The place is kitzy and decorated with fake bass which are decorated with interesting photos and stories by former customers. You simply place your order for catfish, shrimp, snapper, tilapia, crawfish, salmon, mahi-mahi, oysters or chicken at... More

Had catfish fillets. Fried and cooked perfect. Got 1/2 oysters on the half shell. Very fresh. Nice location. Close to a parking lot.

This an order at the counter and take it back to your table type of place. Lots of locals were eating dinner before attending the Grizzlies game. Lots of fried and grilled seafood on the menu. Do not be deceived by the few tables in the front. The real space is through the second set of doors after you enter... More

I eat here a lot. They have specials during the week at lunch outside on the board. Get your card stamped for a free meal. Good happy hour specials on drinks

This very casual restaurant is a great place to get inexpensive seafood- crawfish, oysters, fish. Ask about the beers on tap which is hidden behind the counter rather than grabbing a bottle from the frig. The coleslaw is particularly good ; oysters on the half shell good, but not spectular.

Stopped for lunch with the family. Ordered Catfish that was good and a cup of Gumbo! Best Gumbo EVER!! Should have gotten a bowl of GUMBO and forget the fish... kids loved the Basso Fish & Rice!! Totally would return!!

My favorite place in the Beale area. Catfish with Jumbo Shrimp ... delish. The raw oysters were better than the ones we just had down in New Orleans

While staying at the Peabody I ventured across the street for some fried catfish and I was not disappointed. I only wish I would have had my white elephant bass on a board to turn in for a free meal.

Visited with our American tour guide and coach driver, who had obviously been there before. It is a little off the main street, so away from the noisy bars, but we queued out the door because it is so popular. Despite the many staff and busy kitchen, there was quite a long wait for a table and for the food,... More
