Every time we come to Memphis we visit Arcade. It is kind of a pilgrimage to an american classic that respects its history and its customers. As american as the peanut butter and banana sandwich (yes, fit for *the* king), as historic as very few places in the country, with good and filling diner food, all the traditional southern options... The Arcade is a must do when you visit Memphis. Yes, you did the history and it is the oldest cafe in Memphis. However, if you want authenic environment, quality food, great service with a menu variety second to none then this is the place. It is close to many of the downtown attractions--so walk and see the sights, work... More

I expected another tourist trap serving mediocre diner food, complacent from a steady flow of Elvis-eager tourists. Couldn’t have been more wrong! Initial signs were promising - 3rd generation ownership, original décor and an adjacent table of local cops on 1st-name terms with the staff. Food was the proof! Honest home cooking. A world apart from the mass-produced trash we... More

I went early and sat at the counter. I think you always get the best service at the counter (esp. when you're alone) and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is quintessential American Diner, the fixtures could be sold in antique shops. My breakfast was great, I had the sweet potato pancakes and added chocolate chips. My that was good. I... This is an old classic Memphis favorite. The arcade is an old diner that has been updated to cater the hipster crowd. Great food, great atmosphere. We stopped in for late night snack. I decided on a spiked black cow that really hit the spot. This is a must stop for anyone visiting Memphis and a great hang out for... More

We loved the Arcade. While the history and the style of the building was the main draw the potato pancakes were unbelievable. So glad we made time to go there.

The atmosphere is fun and unique. The servers are super friendly. The food is awesome and you get plenty for a good price. Love this place. Not wheelchair friendly due to being built in 1919. The restroom is tight and tiny. Their sweet potato pancakes are nationally famous for good reason. Try them!

pleasantly surprised by my brunch this morning at the arcade restaurant in Memphis Tennessee. The restaurant opened in 1919 is famous for its connection to the king, Elvis Presley and has really tasty diner style food. It can be busy at times, I would recommend booking online.

The trolley driver recommended this historic restaurant to us, and we're so glad he did! It's the oldest restaurant in Memphis, with good southern cooking like it used to be. For the $10 special, we had two large, flavorful filets of catfish, coleslaw, two large hush puppies, two sides, and a small dish of apple crisp for dessert. An old... More

Takes you back in time to the diner. Large portions. Serves breakfast all day. Old school. Near the Civil Rights Museum. A local experience .
