RIght on the station platform, this is a nice place to stop and have a brew. I only wish that the people running it made more of the potential

Thanks very much for you're valued feedback. However I feel I must respond to you're comment " wish the people running it made more of its potential ". Myself and my partner have ran the business alone for the past 5 years without any help and a young family to look after. In that time we have redecorated, replaced extremely... More

Had been looking forward to visiting. Had 45 minutes between trains and refrained from using the on train buffet so I could sample this famous Tearoom. It was closed despite the opening times displayed on the door showing it was open.

We travelled there on a cold day and were desperate for a nice cup of hot coffee. However, we had the dog and first asked if it was OK to bring him in, and they said yes of course. The choice was limited, but it was a nice old fashioned style and they made the coffee fresh for us and... More

It was pouring with rain as we walked the West Highland Way. The station is about half a mile off the Way, down a good forestry track. Dripping cyclists and walkers were all welcomed. The fare was cafe style - a cuppa and a piece of homemade cake, or fairly basic meals. Quite reasonable value and worth the detour.

Travelled from Fort William to Chrianlarich by train. Having seen on their website that the station tea room is open " 7 days a week until October" we planned to have lunch there whilst waiting for our return train. On arrival we discovered that the tea room was closed, so had to wait, wet, cold and hungry until our return... More

Hi there We are very sorry to hear about you're wasted journey. As a small local business we do try our best to keep customers informed when circumstances beyond our control occur. However on this occasion our hot water boiler overheated, leaving us with a soaking wet kitchen and no running hot water until a repair man arrived. As we only... More

Good choice of snacks and ideal stop for a break. Place itself was nice and clean and owners didn't seem to mind everyone drying out in the tearoom.

A lovely tea room in the quaint local railway station on the line to Oban and Fort William. We stopped on off chance although acquainted when was a stop in which passengers on the trains could get off and use the cafe. When such ceased and facilities were provided on trains and time stopping short it could effect the tearoom.... More
