After an easy flight to Edinburgh, a somewhat fractious experience with the hire car firm and the sat nav sending us along a rough old road for 7 miles, we eventually and thankfully arrived at this stunning place....Monachyle Mhor. Straight away we felt welcome.... More

This place is at the end of a long ever narrowing road. Unfortunately we only had a brief visit but would love to go back and stay or even just for a proper meal ... we just had time for coffee and scones. We had to wait 20 mins while they baked the scones but in the meantime a log... More

Can hardly put into words just how special this place is . The location and service is exceptional. The hospitality throughout our Hogmanay event was just lovely. We felt very welcome and part of the family. Champagne was flowing. Music was great and the hosts engaged with everyone . The food was outstanding . For that amount of people dining... More

If you are considering eating at this place you shouldn't consider any more... just make it happen, you will not be disappointed. It's taken me a year to come back and write this review , not because it wasn't worthy of a review back then but because it was so good reviewing it almost seemed silly. What words would I... More

We walked around the loch opposite this gorgeous hotel, before enjoying the best scones by the fire in the snug. This was a beautifully decorated contemporary hotel in the middle of superb views. I can't wait to stay here on my next trip to Scotland, simply stunning.

Revist with new head Chef Marysia Paszkowska taking over from owner Tom. Food quality fabulous as before, I had the home grown Tamworth pork followed by an outstanding St Brides Guinea fowl, melt in the mouth good. Caroline was very pleased with her Isle of Mull scallop with Atlantic stone bass to follow. The intermediate tomato sou was exceptional as... More

Perfect in every way. Better than ever. The food, the service, the wine and that view. What could possibly go wrong. The cream of cauliflower soup with pumpkin seeds and pumpkin oil was a highlight for me.
