The Three Chimneys needs no further elaboration from me as there are already hundreds of positive reviews on here. I will simply add to these with the comment that my meal here ranks as one of the best I have had the pleasure of experiencing!!

The remote drive is worth the hassle. We had one of our best meals here on our trip to Scotland and we dined in some Michelin restaurants. The starters were excellent: the pigeon was probably the best dish I had in Scotland and the peat...More

This was the highlight of our return visit to Skye. It was not a restaurant when we last visited! Everything about our evening was first class and without fault. We hope to return to Skye in the not too distant future and will definitely want...More

Enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing at the chefs table at the Three Chimneys. Arrived early and had a lovely drink at the reception area next door which was lovely. The service is extremely good, as you'd expect in a place like this. The...More

We have been coming here for several years now, and the standards never drop, and the place is clearly developing very well under Scott Davies' leadership. This was a special occasion so 8 of us took the tasting menu at the Kitchen Table. Awesome. Food...More

Quality of food and service were both outstanding. It's reputation is well deserved. The seafood platter is only served at lunchtime however we were advised that an extensive seafood menu is available for dinner. I think I would have been disappointed if I had arrived...More

Dear dionne2010, this is a lovely review to receive, thank you very much. You are correct in saying that the seafood platter is only served at lunchtime, alongside a good selection of other dishes and also, our 5-course lunch tasting menu. I would not describe...More

We paid £45 with Isle Taxis last week. Book taxi in advance and the 3C will contact them when you are ready to be collected.

I'm sure the Three Chimneys would be fine with it, but it is quite small and the evening dining can get a bit serious. Personally, I have only seen older children in there but that was at lunchtime........

The Three Chimneys Restaurant is one of Scotland's most iconic restaurants, set in a stunning location beside the sea in the north west corner of the Isle of Skye. Colbost is situated on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, a wide sea loch that opens into The Minch, the narrow stretch of sea between Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The views are stunning whatever the time of year. The Three Chimneys is famous for specialising in the freshest local produce including wonderful seafood from the immediate coastal waters. the restaurant has been owned by husband and wife, Eddie and Shirley Spear, for 32 years. The couple bought the traditional stone-walled croft house in 1984 and developed the business into what it is today, with an amazing worldwide reputation. The Three Chimneys has won countless awards and accolades. Head Chef, Scott Davies and his Brigade of young chefs are passionate about preparing and cooking the finest local ingredients, including seafood, eat and game. Innovative dishes and exciting taste combinations are served by a professional young crew front-of-house, who pride themselves in delivering skilful, but friendly and welcoming service at all times. there is an excellent Wine List and cocktails and other bar beverages, including a good range of malt whisky and Scottish gin, are served in the Lounge in the evenings to both house guests and restaurant customers alike. Advance bookings are essential and accommodation can be provided in The House Over-By adjacent, or in a number of good quality B&Bs and self-catering accommodation in the neighbourhood.
