Just back from having a family dinner here. We were very impressed indeed all round. There were 9 in our party, so we were seated upstairs. The service was very good indeed, making sure the whole meal went well. Both our servers were very friendly, polite and efficient. There were ample choices of food for each course. All of our... Our party were very impressed with both the quality of the food and the reasonableness of the price. Fish of the day was especially lovely. Makes me sound old, but, nice to have such comfy chairs in a restaurant! Looking forward to a return in the near future.

We are vegetarians and were delighted to find The Barony offered a vegetarian option. We had the Moroccan Sweet Potato and Chickpea casserole, which was excellent and very tasty. We have found many vegetarian options in restaurants can be limited with pasta or a tart option only. The quality of this dish was excellent and well presented. The staff were... More

This is a good restaurant for those who want (normally) excellently cooked food. The atmosphere is good and the staff are not in your face. However i have a few issues which, if addressed, would give it a 5 rating. 1. Why is the chicken tough. My husband has had it twice now The first time he told the waitress it... More

Thank you for you review. First of all I must apologise for the Chicken being tough and this should have been brought to my attention straight away and a replacement offered. We do not want any customer paying for sub standard food. With regards to the menu we always offer a choice of 8 main courses, which we change regularly,... More

Have been here a couple of times and can't wait to go again. The food is always beautifully cooked and, I think, locally sourced.
