On a day trip to Ayrshire, we stopped in a layby outside this little restaurant and decided to give it a try, as the outside looked attractive. Inside did not disappoint either: very simply yet tastefully decorated and a mix of table sizes. The menu was very varied and the food was some of the best we've tasted. The two... More

The menu should cater for everyone. Starter with the Cullen skink and it was fantastic. Had the seafood platter; great prawns, salmon, sea bass, cod but there was one fish I didn't enjoy as much. Ice cream chocolate 5/10, vanilla 6/10 and the strawberry was 5/10. Great service.

Booked at short notice (20 minutes) and even on a thursday night we were lucky to get a table for 2.The prawn tempura as a starter is every bit as good as a certain harbour carryout in troon. The food is of a very high standard and staff very good.

Honestly you need to try the Minishant Restaurant if you've never been!! The staff are so polite and friendly and the food is top notch!! The portions are massive and you struggle to finish!! Defiantly my favourite place in Ayrshire to have something to eat!! Highly recommend ❤️

Great little restaurant with excellent food on offer and a great selection. One of the best in the area and it must be tried. Only slight negative is that tables are a little close at some parts of the restaurant but I suppose it is quite a small restaurant. If you eat here then you won't be disappointed.

A group of 22 ladies met here in January for an evening meal. The establishment is fairly local to most of us, but it was chosen for the great food rather than the convenience of the location. We had excellent friendly service and beautifully-presented food - not even one of this large group had any negative comments. How lucky we... More

We were invited to dine at the Minishant Inn and it was quite frankly very good, the food being excellent and the service comparable. The starters were great ranging from Cullen Skink to Caesar Salad with Black pudding, the main courses ranged from Chicken Balmoral to Thai Curry. All was very good. A return visit is a must!
