Typical Scottish Pub with nice staff and very good food. Also this pub hosts weekly the elderly of the village of Fort Augustus.

Lovely pub to have a drink - barmaid was really welcoming and asked if we were on our holidays :) We both had the cider and sat outside right by the locks and watched the boats come in! Really nice place!

We popped in for a quick lunch. The town was really busy and we were just in time to get a table. You have to order at the bar. Service was very quick - I think we waited less than 10 minutes for a smoked...More

As an alternative place to eat in Fort Augustus you could not go wrong here, next to the canal, good local food cooked well and a good selection at the bar. Busy but pleasant atmosphere

This is a busy pub/restaurant relying on a captive audience from the canal users. There seems to be no locals at all using the place, this must be due to the extortionate prices of the beers Although the food was good I was angry that...More

Typical pub with simple but delicious pub food. The pricing is appropriate, particularly because the portions are really big.

Popped in for a bar lunch, My partner enjoyed the macaroni. I had the steak pie which was very tasty.. Atmosphere was good, bar staff were helpful, just a pity the weather wasn't as good as the food.

I only know this pub from a summer visit when it was mega busy. Parking is an issue as there are only about 6 spaces on the narrow one way street outside the pub. There is a pay and display public car park in the village... More
