The Lovat Brasserie served some of the finest food that we tasted during our two-week tour of Scotland and should not be missed whether staying at the Lovat Loch Ness Hotel or somewhere else in Fort Augustus, or just passing through. The setting is upscale,...More

Decided to find a place for breakfast in town and this was at the top of the list. Very nicely decorated and the service was great. Food was of no disappointment. I am planning to go there again.

I wrote my review under the hotel. Had the most incredible meal. A masterpiece. Great food and portions and excellent service. Will definitely be returning.

We arrived without a reservation and were very pleased that they were able to accommodate us. From starter to dessert . . . every dish was so beautifully prepared and presented. Highly recommend the venison and we all agreed that our chocolate dessert was the...More

This should have at least one Michelin Star. The food was beautiful. Everything was presented in the most artistic way. I had the Duck and liver parfait- I could have just had that with the delicious bread they served- then I had venison- it was...More

This was my third visit to the Lovat. I had enjoyed my previous two visits so much that I chose to come to Fort Augustus just so I could visit the Lovat. We had no qualms with the menu however we were extremely disappointed with...More

We are delighted you enjoyed your previous experiences so much so to return for a 3rd visit, however it is disappointing to learn you do not like our improvements. We have slightly changed our concept in the Brasserie, since the closure of our other restaurant,...More

We were part of the private dinner party where the reviewer called it 'confusion'. Mistakes happen and can be rectified. Our choice of pork was tough, dry and very chewy. The server was pleasant and seemed to be doing her best to satisfy the group...More

Can I ask if you mentioned your issues to anyone on the night as it is very unusual for us to ignore a customer’s comment. If we are asked to rectify something then we would gladly do so where possible - it is very hard...More

Our fine dining experience in the Brasserie at the Lovat hotel where the ambience and service were great, was totally ruined by the tiny, tiny portions. Seriously, this was the worst reincarnation of 1980's Nouvelle Cuisine we could ever imagine. I had the saddle of...More

We are delighted that our team looked after you during your time with us and the food was tasty – we are just sorry the portions did not match your requirements. We do not market ourselves as fine dining nor a pub and our food...More

As far as we can remember, it was allowing well-behaved dogs on leads. We think there was a dog lying quietly under a table whilst we were there.
