We entered the hotel inn, people were sat at the large picture window on basic chairs, warmth emanated from the wood burning stove and the barlady's dog wagged its tail at us. It felt good straight away and just what was needed for a very late lunch. The menu was extensive but we just hit the ploughmans and a panini.... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal here. Great atmosphere. Really friendly locals. Thanks especially to the customer with the white dog in the bar for helping me out when shop nearby was shut. Really lovely crowd and food.

Dave the owner provides the most fantastic Sunday lunch time buffet - I have even stayed in this hotel in the past and really enjoyed my time there so I still call in when I can. It's also a brilliantly stocked bar with excellent staff serving and helping.

Had a lovely meal with my family sitting outside enjoying the sun and the views over the kilbrannan sound. Food was well priced and great sixes portions, we all enjoyed it. Only thing I would say is more deserts are needed especially more children's ones. Maybe have more chilled soft drinks. Would go again for a main meal.

Very friendly for people and dogs. Menu varied on weekdays but also a cold buffet on Sunday's 12-4pm eat as much as you like £14 pp(£10pp for pensioners) large garden with vast sea views lovely to sit out in on a sunny day. The local bus service stops here so ideal for drinkers although the last bus is 8pm

A quick stop for lunch. Venison stew was quite incredible. Good beer too. Timothy Taylor's Landlord, very rare this far north. Good view over the water to Kintyre.

We called in as were touring Arran for a "snack". The setting is great, right on the shore with fantastic views, so quiet it almost makes you whisper so as not to disturb the peace. The greeting from the young lady was really nice, there is a wall of black boards with specials on as well as the menu. We... More

The Sunday Carvery is excellent with a choice of beef, turkey, roast ham and salmon. Superb salads to supplement the mains and an extensive selection of sweets. We have been coming to the island for many years and this is always on our agenda. We qualify for the concessional price which is I believe just over £10 and with coffee... More
