I have been visiting Arran for over 20 years and we had dinner for 6 on Easter Saturday the 15th of April. This was the best dinner I have experienced on Arran after 20 years of visiting. The food and service was excellent and was in my opinion faultless.

We opted for a late dinner after a long day of walking and we were not disappointed. The lounge is nice to relax before dinner and have a peek at the menu which recommends 2 - 3 dishes per person. We were hungry and feeling indecisive so we ordered 7 between 2 which was a bit too much food but... More

My partner, sister, her partner and I went for cocktails at eighteen69 - would definitely recommend the Board 1 sharing platter including the Cranachan Martini, Auchrannie Fling and Lochranza Lemonade.

Six of us visited us this lovely restaurant (part of the Auchrannie Hotel) and walked there and back up GlenCloy from our holiday let. The tapas arrived in a timely manner and were shared by us. The tastes were subtle and flavourful and beautifully presented. We all loved the variety. We chose atleast 12 different dishes meat, veggie and fish... More

We overall enjoyed our meal, the staff were friendly and attentive, great service. On the positive side we all loved the puddings and they saved the meal. The tapas were okay, all in all very rich and the mac and black too salty. We had the Game pie, but left most of it ( meat dry, tasted awful), the fishcakes... More

Dear 2507purple, I'm pleased to hear overall you enjoyed your meal and found our team friendly and helpful. I have passed your comments to the Head Chef to take on board and I'm sorry the Game Pie was not to our usual high standard. I must say that the new menu has went down really well since its launch and... More

My first visit since Colin the chefs new dishes went on the menu. We had five dishes and every one of them was outstanding. The quality of the food was matched by the welcome and service given by louis and his team in the restaurant. First class in every way. Highly recommend an evening in eighteen69.

The quality of the food was excellent and the service equally as impressive. We both had the '1869 breakfast' which was some of the best ham hock we have ever tasted. The chicken we then had just fell off the bone. Can't recommend the 1869 enough!!

We tried here on our first night. They were booked up offered us a table immediately or after 8. We were only the second couple in the place but they gave us a nice table away from the others. Staff were really lovely and not overbearing given the lack of customers at that time. We could have eaten the entire... More

The Isle of Arran has numerous restaurants where the food is very good but so far this is our favourite , so much so that we visited again the following night. Staff were terrific , helpful , informative and very friendly. The food was varied and excellent quality. Portions were larger than we anticipated and although most of them arrived... More
