We went for the gluten-free cream tea (which was excellent) and had the bonus of sitting in their garden with a great view of the ruins. Very rare I praise National Trust - but well done!

We were pretty hungry and needed to eat fast with two starving granddaughters. We ordered and sat outside under umbrellas and the food arrived quickly. Great sandwiches, coronation chicken and egg salad, and potato leak soup. All delicious. Beautiful setting with a relaxed atmosphere.

I had my first gluten free cream tea !! What else can I say?? My partner had a regular cream tea which he enjoyed. The cafe was very nice but busy.
