We stopped for a tea and snack while walking the dog. The weather was warm enough to sit outside. The service was fast and friendly. The two coffees were perfectly nice and not bitter like many coffee shops. We also ate delicious cakes and had a lovely large pot of tea.

Shaldon has that "je ne sais quoi" that Teignmouth lacks and this little bistro cafe just adds to the charm of the place. We've been on several occasions for just morning coffee and cake or a light bite and the food is always delicious, freshly prepared to order whilst there is an excellent range of teas and coffee. Indoors or... More

We had driven to the Ness, see my review, and then walked back to the ferry to go over to Teignmouth where we walked along the beach and back and then got the ferry back. The Strand cafe is the sister cafe to twenty six in Teignmouth and the menu is the same and very good. It offers breakfast, brunch,... More

I pop in here all the time to eat as the meals and service are amazing. The choice of breakfast and many other choices of food on the menu. Coffee is great. Seating downstairs, upstairs and outside. Accessible for wheelchairs. You can sit outside with your dog. The view outside is outstanding. If you are in Shaldon then definitely visit... More

Situated at the mouth of the river. Clean and well presented, one unisex toilet. We only stopped for a coffee, which was very nice. Service good. Interesting choice of food on the menus.

After a disappointing brunch at The View in Teignmouth we decided to try brunch over in Shaldon at The Strand Cafe and it did not disappoint! Despite the cafe being really busy with people out on festive walks, everyone that came in was greeted in a friendly way and served promptly. I had the Eggs Benedict which was delicious! My... More
