This was a delightful place to find. The staff were very friendly and accommodating after a long walk. The cream tea was incredible, with large scones and a selection of jams to choose from. The tea served had an incredible taste. Well worth a visit.!

We were planning on eating elsewhere after completing a circular walk, however on passing the tea rooms they were busy and 2 lots of people stopped to speak to us and were very complimentary about the food. So we decided to wait for a table...outside in the garden. The garden setting is lovely. The food we had was ‘amazing’. So fresh and tasty and the homemade cheese scones were to die for! Both our meals came with an incredible salad which also included fruit, something which we had not had before. The portions were plentiful. We will definitely be heading back to try the amazing looking cakes!More

Drove here initially to start the walk from Lustleigh but parking is extremely difficult so went on to Bovey Tracey and walked from there and was well worth the walk. Delightful afternoon tea selection from people who know how to spoil you, with proper tea...from the south west and home made scones and cakes.More

We walked here from Parke and treated ourselves to a cream tea at the Primrose Tea rooms. What a treat! This is one of the best in Devon (and we have eaten a few). On entering it is clean, bright and tastefully decorated. A selection...of gorgeous cakes on display under glass domes caught my eye. Lovely friendly staff here. Our cream tea arrived on bone china plates with a huge pot of loose leaf tea and a tea strainer. The toilets (both gents & ladies) are like you would find in a 5 star hotel with Molten Brown hand wash and lotion provided. This visit was a real pleasure and we will be back! The best tea room in Devon for sure. I've been really disappointed when ordering cream tea recently but Primrose tea room restored my faith in an amazing cream tea. Massive pot of tea, beautiful fresh warm scones with lots of cream and a selection of...jams to choose from. Lovely staff and a wonderful setting in the garden, felt really private and a perfect place to catch up with my friend. Can't recommend enough.More

We finished a lovely walk in Lustleigh with a trip to the tearoom and, as someone else said previously, it is probably the best tea room that I have ever been to. We were quite late arriving but the lovely, kind waitress let us order...food and it was, as my partner put it, 'unbelievable', the salmon salad he ordered was beautiful with fresh ripe fruit, nuts, blueberries, melon, strawberries to name a few, I wish I had taken a photo, it was so stunning. I had a chicken and pancetta sandwich which was also beautifully presented and delicious. We sat in the tea garden and enjoyed a perfect end to a perfect day. The staff were amazing, the food divine, we can't wait to go back.More

We walked along the Wray Valley trail and stopped here on the way. We were not disappointed - friendly service and delicious tea and scones. Would highly recommend.
