Wet rainy bank holiday Monday, walked to the pub for lunch. Waited about an hour before being asked for our food order. Told none of this left none of that left. Food was not good but not bad, just average which is poor for the price your paying. Staff continually apologise for slow service, not good enough, place wasn't even... More

We had dinner with another couple and were very disappointed. We had to ask for the floor and table to be cleaned before we sat down. Our starters of crab cakes were burned and the seafood espetata were very over cooked - the prawns couldn't be removed from their shells they were so overdone. Dessert of profiteroles were good. Service... More

Went to this pub for a family meal The atmosphere is nice and cosy and the staff are friendly however I was served mouldy bread for starters. Literally one end was blue with mould. Bread was replaced but when it came everyone else had finished their starter. Then I ordered an espatada and the meat was very under cooked and... More

Usually visit this pub when we are in Jersey. On this occasion we found the pub to be quite cold with no fire lit and the Eastern European barmaid was rather unfriendly and made an error with the card when we were trying to pay. However, we had a good lunch. We both enjoyed the fish, chips and mushy peas... More

We revisited Jersey after 10 years and went to St Marys to meet with friends for a couple of drinks. We ended up staying for food which was lovely and big portions and only left hours later. The staff were very friendly and service was great. Would definitely recommend.

Poor tennerfest menu, Caterpillar in my vegetables, offered new veg but if they didn't clean the first properly I wasn't going to accept more, the waiter (who as nice as he was) actually made an excuse for the caterpillar saying sometimes these things could happen when busy Instead of just apologising! No offer of any discount as a way of... More

Dinner this evening with a group of friends.....service was outstanding and food to match. Never had a bad meal here ever. Extensive menu and great selection of drinks. I would definitely recommend to both locals (particularly for the current Tennerfest Menu) and visitors any time of the year. Great value and the most attentive and efficient service i have experienced... More

I ordered a Goats cheese salad described thus: tomato, cucumber, spring onions, pitta bread, crouton and goats cheese, with a vinegrette dressing. What came was a bowl of lettuce with 4 pieces of tomato and a few pieces of cucumber with a lump of Goats cheese on the top. I complained, the landlord/chef argued that "no one else had complained"... More

As a non-onion eater, my husband often struggles to find dishes without the offending veg. On checking with the staff, onion was in the sauces but rather than have to pick other dishes, alternative sauces were offered without any hesitation even though this was a £10 tennerfest meal. That's great customer service. I had the seafood paella which was fantastic... More
