Visited Saffron’s with friends to have their Tasting Menu. All courses were enjoyable although could have had a bit more spice in places. The main mark down is for the Wine pairing for each course, in both timing and amount. We had already been served...our starter and had to hold back until the waiter came along with our first wine. Although a little quicker with subsequent courses it did feel a bit rushed. Also the quantity of wine was pitiful, a very small glass of each which was gone in two (small) mouthfuls....and even the red wine was served in the same type of glass...unfortunately I would not recommend having the wine pairing ☹️More

Please don’t book this restaurant. We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant. Our own hotel booked us a table at ‘Saffron’, then once we arrived at Hotel de France, we asked where ‘Saffron’ restaurant was... they said 1st floor. Once we got...there they said the restaurant no longer exists.. with another restaurant in its place. Why are they taking bookings u der the name ‘Saffron’ and why is the receptionist still sending people upstairs where the restaurant once was, all very bizzare and a little underhand - disappointedMore

My husband and I visited Saffrons Restaurant for an evening meal to enjoy The Taste Of Jersey menu. The food was unbelievable and the service could not be faulted in any way. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived and...each course that was served was great and beautifully presented. We would highly recommend this restaurant.More

This may sound like a strange comment to start with for this type of restaurant but I had read before hand that it was about the use of spices not heat, this was not the case even the staff conceded everything was very hot in...terms of spice. That said the staff were brilliant, they explained each dish and it’s component parts and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was all very well put together and the courses were not massive. The pork starter me husband thought was superb and the scallops were nice but with chilli so hot. We didn’t try the 5 or 7 course set menus but there looked to be a lot of food! Then venue is nice enough but lacks a bit of atmosphere, it’s only small so booking is required and it is anything but cheap. If you like hot food it’s great, if not maybe give it a miss.More

Visiting the Island for my 40th birthday and staying in The excellent Hotel de France, we booked Saffrons after reading so many good reports about it. Food is exsquisite and of an exceptional standard. The flavours that come through are better balanced than any other...I know and for the occasion, we could not fault. Variety of food, drinks, service all fantastic and thank you for a memorable 40th birthday meal!More

Had a very enjoyable meal here last week. The service was smart and efficient. The amuse bouche were a nice way to start the meal. We had a signature main course and desert and these were very good indeed. I would recommend this to anyone.

We really enjoyed our professional and friendly welcome upon arrival to Saffron’s. Following an explanation of the menu, we each ordered one of the four tasting menus on offer and were astounded with each course which were served to us with detailed explanation by Denissa....Thank you for your attentive and friendly service Denissa. The restaurant caters to all dietary requirements and the team are most helpful with any special requests for their guests. We highly recommend Saffron’s and hope to return on our next visit to Jersey.More

We went with some friends on a saturday night thinking that we would have a nice indian meal. It was superb: I had the fish and it was full of flavours, a lot more refined than in a normal Indian restaurant. The price though was...a bit of a shock as I would recommend the place more for a special occasion: the cheapest wine was over £35 and the dishes were not cheap either (we got the rice free and that was nice). If you really want to treat yourselves you can opt for one of the tasting menus, which looked amazing. The a la carte menu does not have an extensive choice of dishes but all the ones we had were very good.More

Airy room in a rather dated hotel; very glad we booked. Limited covers so DO book if only coming for a few days. Terrific drinks menu - and guide! Super charming staff. Interesting menu - SO loved the use of rhubarb. All amuse bouches delicious....Would just have preferred a lot more heat and spice. Average palates will love it though. RecommendedMore
