Visited Ambledown Tea Rooms last week while we were staying at Castle Leslie. Good pizza's, cosy rooms & a BYO policy made for a very enjoyable evening. Recommended.

Ambledown was recommended to me as an evening dining option whilst staying at Castle Leslie. We were welcomed by a very pleasant member of staff and a roaring fire - most welcome on a very cold night! We enjoyed 2 fantastic starters - a Greek platter and mozzarella salad. Both were generous in portion size. We then enjoyed pizza. The... More

Had pizza with side orders here. Pizza was fine but the side orders were poor. Main contention though is the €7 corkage charge and €1.50 for a spoonful of dip! Ridiculous charges & wouldn't recommend the food.

Went with a group of friends & were shown to a lovely, cozy, quaint little room with a roaring fire in the corner. Starters were delish as was pizza & desserts. It's BYOB was which great. Had a very enjoyable evening & will definitely be back!

The Greek feta came with something resembling pitta bread and it was as hard as a board .The pizza... More

When with my daughter for a sunny afternoon treat. Waitress appeared only interested in other customers, insofar as other patrons who arrived after us had the menus brought and orders taken while we were still waiting. I can't comment on the food as we didn't wait.....
