So wonderful to find a nice place in Kingsport to have a late lunch after my nail appointment today! This was my third time at the "NEW" Courtyard Restaurant. I express it that way because this restaurant has been around for quite some time at the same location, but it now is under the third set of owners. Many of... More

I'm glad I missed the day they served scorched quiche! I had the quiche and it was very good, as was the soup. Three of us had the same lunch so I cannot comment further on the menu, which is a good lunch variety. Service is good and friendly. The atmosphere is a little quirky--not quite "together" decor--but it does... More

I ordered spinach quiche. The top looked too brown, and It had a burned taste. I told the waitress and all she said was, "it has been reheated after setting." I think they should have offered something different to me. I peeled back the layer of burned, crusty cheese and tried to eat the underneath part, but the awful taste... More

The new owners treated us like family from the moment we walked in the door. Friendly and fast service made this an enjoyable lunch for the four of us. The menu offers a tasty variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches. And you have to try the desserts and flavored teas. We will definitely be back!

Once again, my mom and I were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. I decided to take her to the Courtyard. It is a little off the beaten path downtown, on the corner of a quiet street. The decor is a little quirky, but I think it is cute. Kind of reminds me of my granny's house. The service is... More

Food is overpriced for what you get and it's not even that goo. The healthy options are pretty bad--so if you eat here get the souther fatty stuff. Hated the atmosphere--I felt like decorations were all found on the clearnace aisle of Kmart and thrown up in no particuarly inviting way. Like a throw up of cheap fake flowers, portraits,... More

Thank you for your response. The Courtyard went under new ownership since your review and has made several changes/updates to the decor. The food is still the same and recipes have not changed, but the look is much more appealing. Hope you will come in and give us a try. More

The food was great. Tomato soup and coconut cake are highly recommended! I used the bathroom in the back of the restaurant, which was past the kitchen. The kitchen was seriously cleaner than most home kitchens I have been in. The ladies in the back were all immaculate and the room sparkled. I was beyond impressed!

I like this place very much. Go there with lady friends and coworkers at lunch fairly regularly. They have quiches, croissant sandwiches, salads with a nice variety of dressing, etc. You don't see very many men in there - guess they're afraid to eat quiche - but it's always full. They have some little private dining cubbies to reserve if... More
