Our family friends wanted a good place to stop by, but never had we expected such good service and wonderful food. The decor is very cute and is not too over the top. Everything was very nicely kept, and we were treated like royalty. The brunch menu was amazing, varying from pancakes with home made cinnamon whipped cream to avocado... More

The meal was very good, as was our service. It has a nice atmosphere. But, what I remember most was the delicious coconut cake. What a sweet ending to a lovely lunch.

My husband and I were searching for a special place to dine for date night on January 2nd. We looked at the dinner menu online and got excited about the salmon, chicken, and ancho pork. I should have looked closer as we were handed the New Year’s weekend menu when we were seated. It had fewer choices. We started with... More

Nice restaurant and good food. We ate lunch and had the philly cheese steak and the roast pork Cuban, both were very good. The restaurant was able to seat us right away

Small and charming. Great place to take the girls for a morning brunch or an afternoon lunch. They even did a wonderful job of accommodating my gluten free diet. Even though there were only a few choses for me. We went for Sunday brunch (which I recommend a reservation) but even without one they were able to find a table... More

We had taken another couple to a Dickens of a Christmas in Franklin on Saturday and since we were staying to see Nashville’s Nutcracker on Sunday a search of suitable restaurants brought us to Mack & Kates; which was more than suitable; it was a first-class way to have the first meal of the day. We were able to get... More

We were looking for something different and found it. Nice interior. Had the fried green tomatoes which came with their version of BBQ sauce. Portions were adequate sized for a lunch. Nice wine list. Would like to return for dinner.

After dining in Georgia on Shrimp and Grits, I now try them where ever we land. Mack and Kate's has huge shrimp, creamy grits and a nice flavorful sauce. A little too much sauce for hubby and I but still a great meal and very tasty. I had the lobster mac and cheese. It came out so hot I took... More

OMG the smoked artichoke soup is worth the trip if you don't have anything else. My wife had the scallop dish it was amazing I had the Chefs Special it was s fish very similar to sea bass that was amazing but it isn't a menu standard. Service was amazing attentive with out being annoying. I highly recommend this establishment.

Description
Sophisticated Southern and Gourmet Country are great ways to describe the cuisine at the charming Mack & Kate"s Cafe. Named after two sisters, MacKenzie and Kathleen, our family owned and operated establishment will make you feel right at home. Started in a small, sleepy town, Mack & Kate's humbled beginnings took place in a small service station. This charming little destination dining spot grew over eight years, resulting in the Strawn Family relocating Mack & Kates to Franklin, TN.
We enjoy seeing our friends from our early days and our new friends here in Franklin.
We use the freshest and finest when it comes to our ingredients and always support local farmers and growers. We pride our self in our accommodating and knowledgeable service team and the ability to consistently feed our customers what they are looking for; the freshest from the best.
