I thoroughly enjoyed my tea here. I ordered the full tea. Everything was delicious and well presented with good service. Not as fancy as some tea rooms I've been to (packets of sugar instead of cubes), but it was quaint and much less expensive than Polly Claire's (also in Chattanooga) and infinitely better tasting. Loved the scones and cucumber sandwiches.... More

We are tea peaople. We love high tea, low tea, tea cups and books about tea. You can get all that and more at the English Rose. Reservations are highly recommended as this place is very popular and very busy. Sadly, many Tea Rooms in Tenessee are struggling. Perhaps, they need to take a closer look at English Rose's model... I took my granddaughters here for their first real tea party and it was so much fun. I've been a couple of times before and the food is very good, if you like soup you should try the potato and leek soup. It is delicious! We had the Christmas tea for 2 and ordered an extra pot of tea (gingered... More

I was not sure this would be my cup of tea, but was pleasantly surprised. My wife has had two baby showers here and came back with glowing reviews every time. However, for some reason it did not appeal to me. I hearken back to the days when there was a tea room above the La Dean Shop in Rossville... More

This was a little oasis in Chattanooga. A dinky little cafe with a cute gift shop and lovely choice of teas and meals. We really enjoyed our lunch (home made cottage pie) and found the tea room charming and calming for a welcome break. I would love to visit again but unfortunately we live in London, UK ... so will... We have been coming here for years when we are in Chattanooga. It is so fun to have bangers and mash and a custard dessert. Feel like we have traveled to London for a couple of hours. The owner is delightful.

A great place to feel like you are having Tea with the Queen. Wonderful staff. Many teas to choose from while you are having your crumpets and snacks.

A pleasant surprise in Chattanooga. Visited UK a number of times and an English tea room sounded interesting. The shop was attractive with a large number of British souvenirs. The menu was as expected in England and the food selection and quality were excellent. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The standard triple tray filled with finger sandwiches, scones... Not only does the English Rose have tea, finger sandwiches, scones and cakes, but also offers heartier fare such as plough mans lunch and bangers and mash. We tried the latter and a spinach quiche. Both were excellent. And we had Lady Grantham tea, in tribute to Downton Abbey. Also very good. We will be back when in Chattanooga again.

We went here on a whim because I am obsessed with English culture. We had "Lady Granthom" tea and the three tier, biscuits, finger sandwiches and desserts. Oh wow they were all top notch! I wish we had such a tea house in Columbus I would be a weekly regular!
